Key Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design for various building types using advanced engineering software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for submission.
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure structural designs comply with local building codes, international standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes), and best practices.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Review shop drawings and respond to contractor queries during the construction phase.
- Prepare feasibility studies and preliminary structural designs for new projects.
- Assess existing structures and propose rehabilitation or strengthening solutions where necessary.
- Manage structural engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Mentor and guide junior structural engineers and technical staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in structural engineering, focusing on building design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE).
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.
- Familiarity with seismic design principles and detailing.
- Experience in Bahraini building regulations and construction practices is highly beneficial.
