Full Job Description
Main Objectives: Ensure that all
technical and activities of Gulf Air are carried out according to the
standards required by the relevant support agreements, to the
requirements contained within the approved Aircraft Maintenance
Programme, the responsible national authorities and in accordance with
the company policies and procedures.Main Duties:
(Against primary discipline). By Aircraft/ Sturcture /Subject
Responsibility(by ATA Chapter assignment):

Structures:- 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57.
1. Utilizes
technical expertise and practical experience to disposition complex
technical issues
2. Evaluation of all manufacturers/regulatory
authority documents e.g. ADs; SBs; SILs; All Operators Telexes; by
completing Enginnering Documents Review and make independent decisions
regarding implementation based on analysis of available data, and
follow-up action by issuing appropriate documents via MIS (AMOS) such
as DO; JC; MSN; and EB ets. and ensure it is carried out to the
highest industry slandered.
3. Provide technical support to
the maintenance department for trouble shooting and damage assessment
by direct involvement in the works and by issuance and follow-up of
enquires for support by the aircraft manufacturer or vendor.

Provide technical support to the maintenance and other department
related to the maintenance requirements for the aircraft, aircraft
defects, installed components, removed defective components and stored
components.
5. Control the aircraft dent and buckle /
structural repair charts
6. Review of structural reports of
damage found during checks or as a result of operational induced
damage (bird strikes, lightning strike, etc.).
7. Carry out
damage assessment and determination of best course of action for
rectification
8. Liaise with Boeing/Airbus Service Engineering
on getting timely approval of repair.
9. Follow-up on
establishment of inspections for continuing airworthiness
requirements
10. Liaise with Boeing/Airbus Engineering in
continuous development of SRM repairs.
11. Producing of the
necessary reports in case of technical investigations or analysis
performed
12. Responsible for the requested
occurrence/incidents investigations in regards to structures and
interior
13. Follow up of inspections or modifications,
maintenance tasks done during the operation
14. knowledge of
EASA part-145, part-21 and sub part-CAMO requirements.
15.
Liaising with aircraft manufacturers, vendors, overhaul agencies, and
other airlines on behalf of GFA to resolve in-service and production
problems
16. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings,
preferably those created by Airbus/Boeing.
17. Familiar with
the documents needed to routinely maintain commercial aircraft:
Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM),
Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), etc.
18. Undertake any
special assignment and project as defined and directed by the
MFTS&I.
19. Attend internal and external meeting as directed
by SME or MFTS&I.
