Job Description

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the Nursing Department. She acts as integrator and facilitator of efforts of the multi-disciplinary team and patient care services. DON is responsible for the assessment of all requests for nursing administration and for its collaboration and integration with hospital wide programs and services. She participates in the development and implementation of Nursing and Hospital policies and procedures, as well as making suggestions for revision of the same. DON is responsible for the implementation of patient care that promotes safety of all patients throughout the hospital.
