Full Job Description

Are you passionate about working in a laboratory to ensure consistency, uniformity and quality of the finished products and raw materials? Then this is your opportunity.

In this role, you will be responsible to take trials batches of Prototypes, make application and test as instructed by the Scientists from time to time.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to :

• Good understanding of Paint formulations, application methods and testing.

• Ability to work with a TEAM of scientist and Direct Manager on New Solutions and Customisation and all Support Projects.

• Follow the Hempel procedures and project plans

• Maintain documentation and records as per the best practices.

• Be an active member to maintain the 6S Laboratory, follow all HSE requirements at all times, and be in line with the Quality and Environmental Management System.

• Support Calibration, maintenance and Raw Materials as required from time to time.

• Have high level of initiative and perform tasks with minimum supervision.

The role will be based in Bahrain.

This role will report into Head- R&D /Middle East.

You should also have the following qualifications :

• Minimum passed Higher Secondary (12 years of School) in the Science stream with Chemistry as one of the subjects and have a Diploma in Surface Coatings or equivalent Qualification and have minimum 2 years’ experience in R & D Laboratory of a Paint Company.

• Good knowledge of Colour Matching using Spectrophotometer.

• Ability to do surface preparation and applying coatings using airless spray machine.

• Ability to work on different IT platforms and software to maintain records and work with Microsoft office.

• Excellent communication skills in English (Writing and Speaking), knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

• Capability to integrate in a Multi-National Environment and work as a TEAM.

• Confirms to all safety and sustainability requirements.

• Demonstrate continuous commitment to achieve the business goals.
