Mechanical Project Engineer

Full Job Description

Scope:
The Engineer is responsible for the definition and management of the detailed scope in his/her area of responsibility, including changes to improve project results (cost, schedule, quality).

Cost:
The Engineer is responsible for the detailed scope definition required to prepare the project cost estimate and analyzing scope alternatives to improve capital effectiveness. The technical engineer is also responsible for updating regularly the cost prediction in his/her area of responsibility.

Engineering:
The Engineer is responsible for supervising the engineering contractor to ensure technical correctness of the design, in line with project scope, success criteria, cost and schedule.

Equipment procurement:
The Technical Engineer is responsible for the development of standard company specifications for key equipment and ensuring that the specs developed by the engineering contractor meet the company requirements. He is responsible for resolving any technical issues with the equipment suppliers and supervision of the equipment fabrication quality.

Procurement:
The Engineer will provide input for the Sourcing Plan and initiate the Equipment Status Memorandum (ESM).

Construction:
The Engineer is responsible for supervising the technical correctness of the construction to ensure compliance with detailed engineering, technology requirements and company standards. He is also responsible for providing technical support to the construction organization to ensure prompt resolution of issues and questions.

Comissioning:
The Engineer is responsible for the preparation, jointly with the Start-up Manager, of the PSI and Commissioning plans for the equipment in his/her technology area. He is also responsible for supporting the start-up manager in the implementation of the PSI and Commissioning plan, technical support during Qualification, and definition and completion of the PSU.

Job Skills

- Engineering Degree from a reputable Bahraini university.
- cGPA 3.0/4.0 minimum.
- Completed final year project
- Completed latest 1 internship.
- Have ideally 2 years experience working as a project engineer in a manufacturing, engineering or construction industry.
- High Safety and Quality Standards
- Excellent written and Oral communication in English.
