The Food Service Supervisor oversees and directs overall restaurant operations. The candidate must be flexible to work various shifts, remain calm under pressure, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration. This position requires the candidate to be willing to migrate and work in Canada and have proficiency in both English and French.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily restaurant operations.
- Train and mentor employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Communicate changes in food preparation formulas, standards, and procedures to staff.
- Ensure compliance with local and national health and food safety codes as well as company safety policies.
- Analyze business records to optimize sales and maintain records as outlined in operational manuals.
- Support local and national marketing initiatives.
- Prepare or assemble ingredients required for standard recipes, including meat, fish, and poultry.
- Identify and contact prospective customers to promote sales.
- Plan special events and promotions.
- Organize stock and equipment, order supplies, and oversee cleanliness and security.
- Manage budgets to maximize profits and meet sales targets.
- Establish work schedules and recruit new team members.
- Train and develop staff on sanitation and safety procedures.
- Resolve customer complaints and queries effectively.
- Prepare reports and performance analyses.
- High school diploma or equivalent (10+2).
- Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management, or related discipline, or several years of experience in food preparation or service.
- At least 3 years of food service management experience or comparable experience.
- Experience in a fast-food chain (McDonald’s, Pizza Hut etc.) is prefered
- Open availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise 5-7 staff members in various restaurant areas.
- Attention to detail and ability to coach on safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in various physical conditions (standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, etc.).
- Must be fluent in both French and English.
- Willingness to migrate and work in Canada.
