Position Overview:
Senior Legal Associate, Corporate & Commercial, supports the Legal Department (Corporate & Commercial Division), in matters pertaining to all corporate & commercial legal matters and transactions. The role is responsible to lead and/ or support a broad range of work across corporate and commercial transactions, contract management (if required), compliance and any other legal matters to ensure Bapco Energies Group of Companies complies and aligns with applicable laws and regulations.

Lead and supervise in the preparation, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing a variety of complex corporate and commercial contracts across diverse sectors within the Bapco Energies’ Group of Companies, such as sophisticated corporate and commercial contracts, financing agreements, supply agreements, service contracts, engagement agreement, consultancy agreement, service level agreements and partnership agreements.
Lead and supervise the legal workstream on corporate and commercial transactions, including but limited to mergers and acquisitions as well as restructuring, joint ventures,
Lead and supervise strategic projects for the Kingdom of Bahrain, including but not limited to existing and new energy contracts such as LNG related projects, Solar projects and Wind projects.
Lead and supervise the legal workstream on corporate financings, structuring, negotiation and finalization of related documentations. The role involves managing lender and investor expectations, negotiating finance documents, ensuring enforceability of security structures and aligning documentation with internal treasury strategies, risk allocation and compliance with covenants and regulatory requirements.
Responsible to prepare, draft and review any legal memorandum and briefings for internal stakeholders including but not limited to internal position paper and briefing notes tailored for C-suite and board-level audiences of the Bapco Energies Group of Companies.
Strategic Advice and Legal Risk Assessments:Responsible to deliver strategic legal advice on complex and time-sensitive transactions, navigating intricate commercial frameworks while aligning legal outcomes with overarching business objectives. This responsibility requires balancing legal risk with operational imperatives.
Lead and supervise comprehensive legal risk assessments by identifying and analysing exposure from a contractual, regulatory, and reputational perspective. Provide mitigation strategies that are legally sound and aligned in industry practices and sector-specific trends.
Act as a trusted legal advisor, offering technically sound and commercially viable legal input on a wide spectrum of issues, from entity structuring and governance to contract interpretation and enforcement risk. Communicate complex legal risks in clear, actionable terms to senior executives and commercial teams.
General:Conduct monitoring and reporting on monthly financing obligations, such as credit facilities and corporate guarantees, to ensure continued compliance with lender obligations and facility covenants.
Conduct legal research and analysis on various corporate and commercial legal issues with a view of providing an informed recommendations to internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant corporate governance, internal policies, applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments to address all legal concerns and provide all relevant guidance and legal advisory on business strategies and / or transactions, and provide legal recommendations (if possible).
Maintain and organize legal documentation and records, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
Provide day-to-day legal advisory and support to various departments including Finance, Procurement, Investments, Corporate Communications and Strategy, ensuring alignment with legal and operational requirements and offering technically sound and commercially viable legal input on a wide spectrum of legal matters.
Keeping abreast with legal, regulatory, and market trends that could materially affect the organisation’s corporate and commercial positions. Translate legal developments into strategic insights and proactively adapt templates and legal positions to maintain competitive and compliant operations.
Qualifications:- Minimum bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognised institution; master’s degree (LLM) and/ or professional qualification preferred
- 5 - 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial law in house or in a reputable law firm.
- Proven track record of managing complex legal transactions.
- Excellent time management skills.

Job BriefThe incumbent is responsible for all Product Classification/Manufacturing Site Registration and Product Registration and to ensure that all documents required are available and are submitted on time.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Adhere to all Zahrawi Policies & Procedures as applicable.
Regulatory Affairs:
Ensure that Zahrawi’s products comply with the regulations of the NHRA.
Keep up to date with the latest changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.
Liaise and negotiate with regulatory authority to ensure a smooth registration process.
Provide advice about regulations to customers/suppliers.
Analyze product complaints and make recommendations to solve the problem and to avoid them in the future.
- Prepare and apply for the permit document as per the NHRA guidelines and verify the items being imported and the documents required.
- Apply for the NHRA regulated products permits on the NHRA website as per the specified guidelines.
- Register and submit the permits for SCE when required.
- Resubmit any permits that have not been approved and make sure all the information provided is correct and attach any new documents if required.
- Prepare daily report regarding the rejections/ delays for NHRA importation permits and reasons related to that.
- Communicate with the existing and new suppliers regarding NHRA importation rules and policies.
- Upload on the NHRA importation system any new classifications or registration certificates.
- Ensure that all urgent requests from the Sales team and suppliers are dealt with in a fast manner and ensure that all documents are in place.
- Report any deviation from NHRA guidelines of imported shipments and take the corrective and preventive action accordingly.
- Review on a regular basis the NHRA importation process of distribution agreements.
- Ensure that the NHRA license is renewed before expiry date to avoid importation disturbance.
- Segregate the imported products as per HS code in coordination with logistic team and confirm if products are NHRA regulated or not.
- Coordinate with the Procurement & Logistics Team to update all the required documents in time to avoid importation rejections.
- Act as the LRPPV (Local Responsible Person for Pharmacovigilance).
- Perform regulatory intelligence by screening the NHRA websites on a weekly basis.
- Screen all scientific and medical literature to stay up to date with the latest regulations.
- Comply with local regulatory requirements for reporting adverse drug reactions and submission of safety reports.
- Responsible for all Pharmacovigilance related work and assigned as the LRPPV (Local Responsible Person for Pharmacovigilance).
- Report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) for all products by collating the needed information and incorporating customer’s comments.
- Fill the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS) forms with all the information collected from the ADRs.
- Send all CIOMS forms to the Manufacturers and the relevant authorities.
- Manage the Pharmacovigilance process of Zahrawi by preparing all SOPs, product safety reviews and literature reviews when needed.
- Maintain a high level of standard to ensure that all work is moving smoothly and that there are no delays.
- Prepare and review all SOP’s Pharmacovigilance plans for all Zahrawi Suppliers.
- Prepare all Registration and Pharmacovigilance forms and communicate the same to the Suppliers and stakeholders.
- Provide trainings to all internal divisions on the current Pharmacovigilance Policies & Procedures.
Individual Case Study Reports (ICSRs):
- Report any spontaneous Individual Case Study Reports (ICSRs) to the Supplier and the Health Authority.
- Maintain a soft and hard copy of all ICSRs for the future.
- Track and follow up with all active ICSR reconciliation with the respective authorities.
- Report all Suspected and Unexpected Serious Adverse Reactions to relevant Health Authorities.
Product Classification & Registration:
Ensure that all required documents and actions for Product Classification/Manufacturing Site Registration and Product Registration are available.
Prepare all required documents to be submitted for Product Classification under NHRA.
Prepare all required documents to be submitted for Manufacturing Site registration under NHRA.
Prepare all the Dossiers to be submitted to NHRA for product registration.
Collect all necessary documents from Supplier to submit for Health Authorities.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor all Cold Products from point of receiving until delivery of products to customers along with Data Logger results within the set temperature limits.
- Examine the packing of goods from the cold storage and monitor the Data Logger Report to ensure consistency.
- Check the quality of the vehicles, warehouse cleanliness, temperature control mechanism, storage conditions and validity of goods on shelves on a regular basis.
- Ensure all Zahrawi Cold Vans/Delivery Vehicles, Data Loggers are calibrated regularly and update the temperature mapping of the Warehouse.
- Ensure all required licenses and registrations as well as calibration renewals are updated before their expiry dates.
- Review all technical and quality agreements with suppliers and customers on a regular basis.
Warehouse Quality Check:
Ensure that the Warehouse & Service Room are kept clean and organized.
Ensure that the temperature control mechanism and hygiene standards are maintained in the Warehouse.
Ensure a quick and accurate release of shipments from NHRA to avoid any delays in transporting the products to the customer.
Ensure that all stock areas are segregated properly into: Dispatching, Receiving, Returns, Hold and Expired and that no mix-up could happen at any time.
Product Quality Check:
Ensure that a sample of each batch of products is secured from the WH Assistants and provide the samples along with a progress report and supplier invoice to the Warehouse Operation, QA & RA Manager for NHRA release approval.
Check all shipments leaving the Warehouse are sealed and packed properly and if the vehicle is fit for transporting the products.
Compile all Quality Inspection Forms prepared by the Sr. Driver & Fleet Coordinator and prepare a monthly report.
Generate a discrepancy report to the Warehouse Operation, QA & RA Manager for MOH release approval for any late findings (excess, damaged or expired goods) in the shipment.
Audit:
- Prepare any documentation needed for internal and external audits.
- File all documents in the corresponding files to ensure all are available and are correct.
- Evaluate the suggestions after the audit and implement them when possible.
Admin:
- Develop a professional relationship with the NHRA staff and proactively monitor relevant governmental bodies to identify changes in legislation/regulations.
- Represent Zahrawi in NHRA and different authorities.
- Negotiate with regulatory authorities for marketing authorization.
- Attend and respond to calls and emails from customers, the Sales team and other support staff.
- Assist the Warehouse Coordinators with relevant documents when requested.
- Coordinate with the Procurement team and assist them with any question they or the Suppliers may have related to NHRA importation.
- Keep track of all registration application on Zahrawi’s tracking system.
- Record all active Zahrawi licenses on the Shared folder and ensure they are updated.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy

As a Senior Consultant, you will serve as a strategic advisor to our clients, leading engagements across privacy governance, compliance readiness, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and oversee privacy and data protection programs tailored to client needs.
Evaluate clients’ privacy and security controls, identifying gaps and building actionable roadmaps.
Monitor compliance, maintain activity logs, liaise with PDPA, escalate breaches, uphold independence, get accredited
Lead privacy gap assessments, PIAs , RoPA , DPIAs , and audits across diverse sectors.
Provide strategic guidance on regulations including PDPA, GDPR , CCPA , Act , and emerging global laws.
Develop and review privacy policies, training materials, and compliance documentation.
Drive implementation of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST , and other global frameworks.
Support incident response planning, breach notification, and Data Subject Rights processes.
Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and ISMS documentation in alignment with certification requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to deliver end-to-end privacy solutions .
Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives including GRC strategy , policy development , and audit readiness .
2+ years of hands-on experience in data privacy, protection, or cybersecurity consulting.
Strong understanding of global privacy laws such as PDPL , GDPR, CCPA , and others.
Solid grasp of ISO 27001, 27701, NIST, and related standards.
Experience in privacy assessments, compliance projects, ISMS implementation , and client communication.
Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT , ISO/IEC 27001 LA/LI, ISO/IEC 27701 (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client-facing confidence, and analytical thinking.

Must Have:
Must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
Possess a recognized professional certification in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Security Audit. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of two years of practical experience in any of these fields will also be considered.
Should have a good reputation , with no final conviction for crimes involving breach of trust, honor, or professional ethics, unless legally reinstated.
Must not have been dismissed from previous employment due to disciplinary actions, or had their professional license revoked/suspended based on a disciplinary ruling.

We are looking for candidates to join our growing Tax Team in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The right candidate(s) will be based in Bahrain but have responsibilities too in KSA's Eastern Province/Khobar, across the causeway. Specifically we are searching for a tax manager to join our Middle East Indirect Tax Practice – Indirect Taxes for us cover Value Added Tax, Customs Duty, Excise Tax and Real Estate Transaction Tax as well as electronic invoicing. The candidate we need should also have some experience in Bahrain's new Domestic Minimum Top-Up Tax, and be prepared to do work across both Indirect and Direct Taxes.
Role
The role primarily involves advisory, compliance and disputes work in Tax covering not only Bahrain, but also extends across the Middle East (including in particular Indirect Taxes in the Gulf Co-operative Council Region – KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE). This is an exciting time for those who choose to become Tax specialists in the Middle East - e-Invoicing, VAT, Excise Tax, Customs Duty and RETT is coming to many countries and already implemented in a number.
The manager role requires at least four years of experience in Indirect Tax, working in an in-house finance function, at a tax authority or for a consultancy firm
Tax Manager Attributes
Indirect Tax (VAT, Excise Tax, RETT and/or Customs Duty) work experience. Good working knowledge of GCC VAT Framework, KSA VAT, Bahrain VAT or similar Indirect Tax system
- Some experience of Bahrain DMTT work, or Corporate Income Tax/Withholding Tax/Direct Tax projects
- Track record in writing advice, memos, letters and emails on Indirect Tax matters
- Practical experience of application of technical Indirect Tax rules and regulations
- Managerial experience in running a small team, working both in the office and remotely
- Tax authority, general finance, accounting or consulting/accounting firm experience of at least four years
- Experience of appeals, objections and challenges to tax authority positions would be an advantage (but not a must-have) in Bahrain and / or elsewhere.
