Bahrain Bay Utilities is a utility complex that serves the iconic Bahrain Bay Development project in the heart of Manama, providing combined utilities services including a District Cooling Plant, a Sewage Treatment Plant, and a potable and irrigation water distribution network under a single utility service scheme.
Veolia Energy Gulf (Veolia Bahrain) is the asset management and operator of the utility complex that has the largest District Cooling Plant (DCP) in Bahrain using sea water technology for cool down the process, a fully enclosed Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) equipped with membrane technology to produce a high quality of TSE that is recycled fully in the irrigation network, a potable water scheme with a network and pumping stations, in addition to solar power park powered the STP with the majority of its electricity.
Job Description
Main Accountabilities
The Waste Water Process & Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of wastewater collection, transmission, treatment, and the redistribution of treated sewage effluent (TSE) for irrigation purposes.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), including pumping stations and associated collection and transmission networks. The engineer will monitor and optimize process parameters and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain compliance, system reliability, and operational excellence.
Additionally, the Process Engineer manages all process-related activities within the WWTP, including internal laboratory operations, coordination with external testing facilities, and quality assurance of incoming treatment chemicals to ensure consistent process performance and water quality standards.
Detailed Job Description
- Supervise and manage all activities within the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) regarding process and performance to ensure effluent specifications are delivered and maintained for the client.
- Working knowledge of process optimization and directly how it relates to wastewater treatment effectiveness.
- Familiar with biological wastewater nitrification and denitrification processing along with physical separation to remove phosphorus.
- Examine wastewater data and apply computer software applications of spreadsheets and word processing to analyse results and communicate to Operators and management.
- Forecast trending process data and give directives to Operators.
- Evaluate and verify laboratory sampling methods and techniques and report discrepancies to Operations Manager.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication to include presentation skills for Operator training.
- Identify and report any abnormalities within the plant or shift supervisor records and report to the Operations Manager.
- Monitor daily Mass Balance and Flow Balance spreadsheets and provide the process guide to Lead Operators.
- Use process guide to conduct site inspections and rectify directives for proper WWTP operation.
- Responsible for the safe operation of the plant and personnel either in the Lab and within WWTP.
- Prepare monthly reports to include graphs using mathematical and statistical information for explanation to the client.
- Verify and maintain process information and ensure records are kept securely in accordance with company policy.
- Liaise with Lead Operators and the Operations Manager of treatment processes specifically including membrane treatment, Safety, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Respond and attend to emergency call outs and take appropriate action.
- Responsible to supervise and coach team members to deliver process objectives and ensure work safety and compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience in wastewater treatment plants and at least 2 years with MBR experience or similar industry.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
The Network/Systems Administrator will provide a wide range of technical sustainment support to the CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN) and Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) including system administration, network administration, and IT services for CPN and SEWS that will assist in managing emerging requirements and enhance and develop coalition capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance, operations and maintenance support, installation of CPN/SEWS related ancillary equipment, familiarization training, and on-the-job training.
- Provide system administration, network administration, and IT services for CPN and SEWS.
- Provide technical and sustainment efforts across the current CPN sites and any additional expansion sites in Bahrain during the execution of this TO.
- Provide detailed descriptions of technical issues and risk related to CPN/SEWS systems, architecture, or network that arise in the performance their duties or are reported by customers.

This role provides Tier 2 network support for a complex enterprise-wide WAN/LAN network and Radio Frequency (RF) systems . The ideal candidate will have experience in SATCOM operations, network troubleshooting, and telecommunications inventory management , ensuring optimal performance and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for WAN, LAN, and RF systems, ensuring seamless operations.
- Operate and maintain SATCOM systems, including modems, redundancy switches, HPAs, LNAs, LNBs, ACUs, SSPAs, antennas, HVAC units, UPS, and generators (if applicable).
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting beyond Built-In-Test (BIT) capabilities using Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- Manage telecommunications installation supplies and maintain daily inventory tracking.
- Operate and support satellite radios, FDMA, TDMA modems, and iDirect or Linkway modems and hubs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop best practices for network configurations, monitoring, patch management, and security enforcement.
- Bachelor’s with 4+ years of experience. Additional experience, trainings, or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Experience providing Tier 2 network support for WAN, LAN, and RF systems.
