Responsible for managing and executing all maintenance activities related to architectural, interior, and civil engineering across the organization. The maintenance civil engineer will ensure optimal performance and long-life span of civil assets through effective maintenance planning and execution while adhering to safety guidelines and cost efficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Support the Senior Civil Engineer in managing spare parts inventory and coordinating with the warehouse.
- Assist in monitoring the performance of civil asset maintenance contracts against agreed KPIs.
- Contribute to the asset lifecycle management process by providing data and support.
- Offer technical assistance to the maintenance team as needed.
- Participate in identifying opportunities to improve civil services within the buildings.
- Manage the additional works requests from the internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description
To operate and maintain BAC's landscape assets including soft landscape, irrigation systems, water features, indoor plants, and landscape-beautification works throughout Bahrain International Airport. Ensure these assets deliver desired performance outcomes and that the landscape contractor complies with the contract scope, specifications, and deliverable targets. Apply best maintenance practices and propose beautification initiatives to enhance customer attraction at BIA.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Develop a landscape operation, maintenance, and beautification plan for routine and periodic preventative maintenance activities for plants, irrigation, and water feature assets that follows an asset lifecycle maintenance approach.
- Monitor and control landscape operations & maintenance plans, schedules, and execution at the site, verifying conformity to schedules, plans, and resource deployment.
- Identify and correct needs for corrective and ad hoc maintenance and repair of assets due to faults or incidents to prevent potential escalations.
- Monitor, correct, and report any inconsistencies in landscape contractor performance or behavior, escalating to Head Landscape as necessary.
- Inspect and ensure that the landscape contractor has safety plans in place, appropriate PPE, permits, and authorizations while carrying out activities at the site.
- Conduct onsite inspections and verification of works done by the contractor, including all aspects of their activities, resources deployed, and overall outcomes.
- Inspect landscape asset conditions, damages to contours, hardscape, plants, or systems due to accidents or natural factors; prepare and implement rectification plans to restore the landscape to its original state.
- Facilitate productive work conditions for landscape contractors through coordination and consultation with concerned sections and/or departments, including permissions for excavation, hoarding, lifting, confined space access, and site clearance for enabling works.
- Prepare monthly reports regarding contractors’ performance and key summaries of service deliveries for management in line with reporting requirements.
- Review plans, processes, and procedures; advise and propose improvements in SOPs, draft new SOPs as applicable, and scope of works and BOQ for new RFPs regarding landscape maintenance and operation.
- Initiate improvements for beautification projects, propose project scopes, technical write-ups, develop sketches, drawings, and specifications for in-house work, ongoing contractor work, or tendering out.
- Act on approved service requests for incident rectification tickets and work orders, completing or resolving such works using Software (Maximo).
A bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, landscape maintenance, or agriculture/horticulture engineering.
EXPERIENCE5 years of field experience as a landscape maintenance engineer with direct responsibility for overseeing daily maintenance operations. The experience should be in large landscape flagship development projects or public parks projects in Bahrain or GCC regions.
