Role Summary
We're hiring a proactive Site Engineer to prepare quotations and BOQs, supervise day-to-day site works, and deliver civil projects on time and within budget. Scope includes finishing, painting, insulation, fencing, site preparation, structural/civil works, masonry, and false ceilings.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Site Execution
- Plan and oversee daily/weekly site activities across finishing, painting, insulation, fencing, site prep, concrete/masonry, and false-ceiling works.
- Coordinate subcontractors and in-house teams; enforce HSE and method statements.
- Resolve site issues quickly and flag risks/variations in advance.
- Quotations, BOQs & Cost Control
- Prepare accurate take-offs, BOQs, and competitive quotations (tenders/change orders).
- Validate rates/assumptions, track budgets, certify quantities, and drive value engineering.
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source materials, obtain/evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate terms, and place POs as per specs/BOQ.
- Maintain a reliable network of civil/finishing suppliers and specialty subcontractors; monitor deliveries and material logs.
- Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams for drawings, approvals, inspections, and RFIs.
- Lead technical meetings and issue clear MOMs with action closures.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement ITPs, method statements, and material/submittal approvals per project specs/codes.
- Conduct inspections to verify workmanship and compliance.
- Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain baseline and look-ahead programs, site diaries, and trackers.
- Submit weekly/monthly progress reports, cost updates, and handover documentation.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSc/BE/B.Tech).
- Experience: 3–5 years in civil/construction projects (finishing, painting, insulation, fencing, site prep, false ceilings) with proven ability to prepare quotations/BOQs and supervise sites.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and familiarity with additional software like Revit, SketchUp, or Civil 3D is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of civil materials, methods, and sequencing; familiarity with contracts, procurement, and budgeting.
