About You

We, at E.K. Kanoo, are looking for a Carpentry Supervisor for our Facilities & Projects division. The ideal candidate for this role will have good English communication skills, both written and verbal. To be considered for this role, you would have hands-on experience in carpentry works, people management skills, and basic computer skills. You should have completed a High School or a Diploma degree.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

1. Supervising & delegating carpentry assignments to the team.
2. Conducting regular site inspections.
3. Identifying if any maintenance works are required.
4. Preparing prevention maintenance schedules.
5. Assigning workforce to different locations based on workload & criticality.
6. Supervising the shifting of jobs at various facilities.
7. Monitoring & maintaining the quality of work assigned to the team.
8. Providing all necessary progress reports on a regular & required basis.
9. Following & implementing relevant requirements of the Environment/Health/Safety/Quality manual.

The ideal candidate would have 2 - 4 years of working experience as a Carpentry Supervisor and possess a Bahrain Driving License.

1. Preparation of project construction schedule;
2. Review project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, possible cost-saving measures, and potential construction problems;
3. Expedite all material & shop drawing submission and approvals;
4. Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis;

About the Role

The Site QA/QC Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) at the project site, reporting its performance and improvement recommendations to top management, and ensuring that customer requirements are effectively promoted and upheld throughout the site organization.

• Assist the QA/QC Manager in developing and implementing a jobsite orientation program to ensure team awareness of project quality requirements.
• Prepare and manage project quality system documentation prior to commencement, including control and archiving upon project completion.
• Conduct internal and second-party site audits, prepare audit reports, identify non-conformances, and verify corrective/preventive actions.
