You must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance. This on-site position is in Manama, Bahrain.
**Responsibilities**:
- Network / Communications hardware installation, integration, and configuration.
- Physically install cable switches, routers, firewalls, Virtual Private Network (VPN) hardware, console interfaces, racks and other associated hardware.
- Configure switches, routers, firewalls, VPN hardware, console interfaces, racks and other associated hardware.
- Provide on-site network communications touch labor support, including duties such as: power-cycling devices, verification of cabling, verification of power, re-cabling devices, re-terminating cabling, component replacement, and device relocation.
- Install, terminate, label, and repair cables (copper and fiber) in accordance with customer provided work orders and/or engineering solutions.
- Install supporting conveyance, patch panels and trunks in accordance with customer provided work orders and/or engineering solutions.
- Perform independent verification and validation on baseline network.
- Perform turnover of installed communications hardware to technical/operational staff.
- Perform Cable terminations for both fiber and Ethernet to include proper labeling; provide circuit terminations and configurations, and switch port configurations as needed.
- Provide administrative space cabling and connections.
- Act as a point of contact for communications with customers communications line of business / global communications, to ensure devices are connected, configured and passing traffic normally.
- Participate in annual planning and provide input for Continuity of Operations (COOP).
- Provide guidance and assist with inspections and audits.
- Provide End user phone support.
- Perform de-installation for network/communications hardware and associated component, including terminating and removing cables (copper and fiber), and removing supporting conveyance, patch panels and trunks.
- Prepare components for disposition using communications hardware provider instructions.
- Relocate network hardware to directed location for disposition actions or retrieval.
- Assist with annual equipment inventory compliance and accountability review.
- Provide Data Center logístical support as needed.
**Education Certification**:
- Bachelors degree
- DoD 8570 certification, ADP IT-Level II
**Skill Requirements**:
- A total of 5 years of network communications experience in the IT industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in using and implementing commercial communications hardware.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using communications hardware test and monitoring equipment.
- Experience with installing network switches such as Cisco and/or Brocade, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and console interfaces.
- Experience in installing, terminating and repairing cables (copper and fiber).
- Experience in installing patch panels and trunks.
- Experience in configuring switch ports.
- Hands-on work experience in data center environments, DoD data centers a plus.
- Experience with COOP planning and operations a plus.
- Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 25kg (55 lbs).
**Additional Requirements**:
- Strong written and verbal communications required.
- This is an essential personnel position.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Shift work may be required.
- On Call duties will be required.

Must be a recognized expert who has demonstrated leadership in C5ISR systems development, logistics support or test & evaluation. Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, Specialized experience in the design, development, testing, analysis, operation or maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems Deployable Node.
