Role Summary:The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing work programmes based on guidelines provided by the Projects Team and monitoring the progress of projects against these plans to ensure completion within specified timeframes and allocated budgets.
Role Description:- Supporting the project management team to ensure project progress and generating reports on all variations in conjunction with the Projects Team. Preparing a programme of works acceptable to the client, indicating the sequence of operations, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Preparing master project schedules and plans during the tender and execution stages.
- Monitoring material submittal, approval, and procurement schedules against the project plan, and updating or revising as necessary.
- Accurately recording progress and adjusting forecasts as required. Preparing reports on progress and identifying causes of programme/progress variations.
- Attending project review meetings with consultants/project management representatives. Preparing and submitting reports to management as required. Additionally, preparing progress reports for all projects based on site visits and project progress reviews.
- Coordinating information between all relevant parties, including clients, suppliers, and contractors, to determine and monitor the availability of materials and finished goods in line with programme requirements.
- Preparing information schedules, including for architects, engineers, nominations, and long-lead items.
We are seeking a versatile Senior Planning Engineer in Bahrain who possesses the following experience, skills, and attributes:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience within an interior fit-out contracting company.
- Strong attention to detail and an in-depth understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proven track record of working on a diverse range of projects, including hospitality, hotels, high-end residential, palaces, F&B, retail, entertainment, healthcare, and education.
- Academic qualifications (preferably a university degree) in a technical discipline.
- Strong technical and commercial skills.
- A thorough knowledge of the latest developments in the fit-out market, with an awareness of current trends and industry news. The candidate should be able to suggest ideas to enhance the company’s market presence and build its brand.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to succeed in a multinational market environment.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Able to think creatively about the use of space, color, and movement. Effective presenter with the ability to persuade in communicating a design idea.

- Specialist in space planning. Should have good experience in determining space requirements and development of workspace standards.
- Conversant with products available in the market, suitable for high-to-medium end projects. Interfaces with suppliers as required.
- Reviews supplier drawings and samples, and performs technical bid analyses.
- Preparing and issuing drawings, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Produce details to accurately reflect design concepts.
- Project coordination - Communicate effectively with other design disciplines.
- Technical design review - Review of design submittals for technical compliance with project requirements.
- Strong planner, organizer, and problem solver with a proven record of excellence in total project process.
- Effective, professional representative of the organization, with strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

- Project responsibility includes establishing the work scope, assisting in preparation of budget estimates and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status to the Project Manager.
- Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters and Junior Engineers working on the projects.
- Should be team player, willing to lead as well as be a part of a team, focused on delivering the task as expected by the PM.
**What Required Skills You’ll Bring**
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with minimum (10) years’ experience.
- Conversant in the use of engineering software packages such Autocad, Photoshop, Sketchup, or other visualization software required for preparation of drawings & presentations.
- Sound knowledge of relevant local (KSA / BH) and international standards and codes of practice.
- Understanding of quality and safety aspects of the design development process. Able to implement QA/QC procedures for submittals.
- Experience in a technical lead capacity in utilities design & construction of similar large scale, drainage, sewerage, surface & ground water and road networks projects would be an advantage
- Bahraini driving license holders will be preferred, but not mandatory.
**What Desired Skills You’ll Bring**
- The Senior Architect / Planning Engineer key responsibilities include conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria as per Client goals, preparing related reports, sourcing products and materials, determining costs, and complying with design standards and building codes.
- Ability to coordinate, corporate and communicate with internal and external Statutory Bodies, department, government agencies, stakeholders in respect of acquiring necessary consents and approval on design and construction.

JOB PURPOSEThe Senior Engineer – Asset Planning is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Asset Management ISO 55001 standard. This role involves overseeing the Asset Maintenance and Job Plans within the Master Maintainable Asset Registry in BAC CMMS (Maximo). The engineer ensures that the facility management maintenance plans and processes are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and comply with international standards, including ISO 55001.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAsset Planning:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive asset management plans.
- Develop and implement asset management processes and procedures that meet the requirements of ISO 55001.
- Work closely with other FM departments to ensure job plans and PM plans are current and aligned with industry standards and asset lifecycle.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with ISO 55001.
Reporting:
- Undertake performance assessments, data analysis, data management and reporting.
Data Management and Change Management:
- Support planning and execution of periodic Master data checks.
- Assist in creating and modifying Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) workflows in line with FM processes.
Processes, Procedures and Compliance:
- Develop Asset integration procedures adhering to international standards such as ISO55001.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and standards including ISO 55000.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate asset management plans and performance effectively.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.

Education / Qualifications

Experience

Previous expertise in managing airport assets or experience in industries with complex asset management requirements.
