Job Description
Our client, a major player in the logistics and supply chain sector, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Coordinator to manage and support fleet operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining vehicle readiness, and optimizing logistical processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics coordination, fleet management support, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills to manage daily operational challenges.

- Coordinate and manage the scheduling and dispatch of fleet vehicles to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Monitor vehicle movements and driver activities using fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
- Liaise with drivers, maintenance teams, and customers to resolve logistical issues and provide updates.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and adhere to safety regulations and company standards.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for fleet maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, including delivery performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
- Assist in the planning and execution of fleet expansion or modification projects.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle documentation, including registration, insurance, and inspection certificates.
- Implement and enforce company policies related to fleet operations and driver conduct.
- Respond to emergencies and critical incidents involving the fleet, coordinating appropriate actions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support the Fleet Manager in daily operational tasks and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, fleet operations, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing fleet operations.
- Proficiency with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and dispatching tools.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems creatively.
- A team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is essential.

This crucial role will focus on ensuring the efficient and accurate management of inventory, optimizing warehouse processes, and leading a team of warehouse associates. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control techniques, and best practices in health and safety. You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Key responsibilities include managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock takes, resolving discrepancies, and implementing measures to minimize shrinkage and damage. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be tasked with ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and coordinating with the logistics team for outbound shipments.
