Job Description
The Field Services Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives.
In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
The Lead Field Service Engineer performes the following roles and responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical analysis at the lab on a daily basis.
- Compare the test results against chemical treatment program guidelines.
- Provide early, on-site trouble-shooting response and act as a channel to utilize company product application technical support.
- Realize the sampling and the analytical monitoring required as part of the monitoring plan.
- Maintain the client's technical file up-to-date using a dedicated online platform.
- Follow stock levels and ensure orders are timely.
- Review the chemical injection rates of all production chemicals under this contract.
- Ensure lines of communication to the company’s site manager are maintained to successfully deliver the Contract Scope.
- Work with onsite company team to identify necessary spares and consumables stocking and ordering schedule.
- Comply with Veolia & customer EHS requirements.
- Comply with Veolia & customer ethics policies & local law.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in water chemical treatment (Desalination, RO, Boiler, Cooling & Waste Water) and Refinery chemical process treatment (Desalter, CDU, Amine unit, preheat exchanger, tank farm additives, etc .).
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen- results oriented.
Skills & abilities:
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.
- Strong communications skills (written, verbal, and listening).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be a real team player.
- Self-initiative and motivation with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills.

For Pakistan Branch Office
- Execute installations, Online modifications application change requests and/or other professional services jobs in accordance with work orders and/or customer contracts.
- Respond to allocated trouble request, providing appropriate on-site service of equipment to restoration functionality and provide subsequent resolution according to the customer request and/or contract obligations (including meeting SLAs)
- Carry out on-site preventative maintenance, service actions and other routine tasks according to customer requests and contract obligations.

- Knowledge and experience of Foundation Fieldbus will be useful.

Job Purpose
Works as part of the team to complete Service and troubleshooting jobs as per the customer requirements as resident engineer TOTAL or any other customer sites as applicable.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Assigned to the system installation, Application configuration, and trouble shooting.
- Proficiently designing, implementing, and testing a wide range of I/O, basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interface, and other control components on automations.
- Capable to handle the hardware installation, Instrumentation wiring and loop drawing and its trouble shooting.
- Being responsible for accuracy and completeness of all projects drawings, databases, and documentation.
- Being responsible for compliance with project Quality and completion of all Quality documents.

Job Qualifications & Experience
- Preferably be graduate in Engineering – Process Control Systems / Instrumentation / Electrical & Electronics.
- Min 4 to 6 years in handling small to medium projects / site maintenance activities as resident engineer.
- Minimum 6 to 9 years’ experience in Industrial Automation Control systems, preferably with Yokogawa DCS system Centum VP, & ESD system ProSafe-RS or any other ESD (Triconnex, ICS etc.).
- Any additional certifications like TuV.
- Previous work experience on offshore FPSO/Terminals/Platforms will be preferred.
Job Skills & Competencies
- Good analytical skills in troubleshooting and investigation of complex issues reported from site.
- Resolving complaints/ problem solving skills.
- Adaptability and quick learner of various products and technologies in the instrumentation and control systems domain.
- Bilingual (English and French speaking) is mandatory.

Job Summary
Provide technical support to customers by taking ownership of the problem and instilling in them the confidence that the problem will be resolved expeditiously. The position will cover the Plant Information Management System (PIMS) advanced software packages used in the process industries to collect historical information (Exaquantum), as well as interpret alarm messages (Exaplog), manipulate setpoints (Exapilot), and interfaces (Exaopc, and subsystem) and other MES products. Exposure and experience of OSI-PI System, Honeywell Dynamo etc will be an advantage.
Work under general supervision of management. Provide work direction and guidance to lower level engineers, software engineers, programmers, and technicians. Works independently providing technical information to Managers, Account Executives, and Engineers in the execution of the sales, proposal/estimates and implementation work flow processes. Works with others to evaluate, select, and apply creative engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to ensure customer requirements are met, including participating in implementation of Yokogawa solutions.
DUTIES/RESULTS
The successful candidate for this position is expected to be a chemical or electrical engineer experienced in distributed control systems and/or the process industries.
The successful candidate for this position will have these personal characteristics:
- Enthusiastic about helping end users. Provides troubleshooting and research to identify, implement, and resolve problems experienced by customers. Including escalation to senior engineers and management when resolution is not quickly identified. - Knowledge in ISA S95, S88, EEMUA#191 and ISA 18. standards and terminologies
- Must have working knowledge on installing and configuring software including operating systems software
- Understanding of Windows network addressing, routing and firewalls.
- Understanding of one or more of the Yokogawa Exa products
- Must have the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to train Customer in a class room environment.
- Must be willing to travel for job assignments, maintain a rapport with customer representatives, and be dedicated to quality, service, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Prior Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in one of the following: process control systems, real time information systems, information systems, process engineering, process operations, software support in a process industry, or systems house application engineering. - Knowledge in ISA S95, S88, EEMUA#191 and ISA 18. standards and terminologies
- Must have working knowledge on installing and configuring software including operating systems software
- Understanding of Windows network addressing, routing and firewalls.
- Understanding of one or more of the Yokogawa Exa products
- Must have the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to train Customer in a class room environment.
- Must be willing to travel for job assignments, maintain a rapport with customer representatives, and be dedicated to quality, service, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Education: Bachelor Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
Prior Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in one of the following: process control systems, real time information systems, information systems, process engineering, process operations, software support in a process industry, or systems house application engineering. Experience in Yokogawa EXA solutions will be an advantage
