Our client, a leading manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a diligent and strategic Procurement Specialist to optimize their supply chain and ensure efficient sourcing of materials and services. This role is vital for cost-effectiveness and operational continuity, based in Sanad, Capital, BH .

Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct market research, and perform supplier due diligence to ensure compliance and quality.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve overall value.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance, resolving disputes, and fostering long-term strategic partnerships.
- Analyze purchasing data, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, coordinating with internal departments (e.g., production, logistics) to meet operational demands.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and sustainability goals.
- Stay updated on market conditions, commodity prices, and industry trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Manage contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a proven ability to achieve cost reductions and value improvements.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of contract law and supply chain best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
