Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, calibrate, and repair aircraft avionics systems and components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in complex avionics equipment, including radios, navigation systems, autopilots, and radar.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
- Perform line maintenance and hangar maintenance as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, FAA regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance performed on aircraft avionics systems.
- Collaborate with pilots, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Use a variety of specialized tools and test equipment to diagnose and repair avionics systems.
- Perform functional checks and performance tests on newly installed or repaired avionics equipment.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in avionics technology and troubleshooting techniques.

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an aviation avionics technical program is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electronic systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, and radar.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with various avionics test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness directives related to avionics.
- Possession of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is a plus, or an Avionics specific certification.

Main ObjectivesTo carry out tasks as designated by the Aircraft Lic Maintenance Technician or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to an acceptable standard of workmanship, and in accordance with aircraft approved documents.
To support Gulf Air operation at any network station as required in case of AOG recovery or as necessary.
- Work with, and under the direction of the designated A/C Engineers/Lic Technicians to carry out routine tasks and non-routine tasks.
- Replace components on Company or other operators aircraft and engines as required.
- Strictly adhere to company staff rules and regulations.
- Strictly adhere to company safety rules and regulations and to wear proper uniform and safety shoes while on duty.
- Adhere and comply with aircraft approved maintenance documents instructions when performing any routine tasks and non-routine tasks and acquaint self with all the safety-related precautions to avoid personal injuries or damages to aircraft structures and systems.
- Make sure that all equipment and tools used for aircraft maintenance are in serviceable and safe condition. Report any faulty equipment or tool to Engineer or Duty Manager; unserviceable tool/equipment must be isolated and tagged.
- Service equipment and aircraft special tools as deemed necessary to maintain them in a serviceable, safe and clean condition.
- As part of maintenance practice, make sure that all tools used to perform any routine and non-routine task are registered, to ensure they are removed on task completion.
- On completion of routine tasks and non-routine tasks, make sure that work area is tidy and free from any loose articles.
- Assist in positioning and clearing equipment to carry maintenance tasks on aircraft.
- Make sure that all tools and equipment used are returned to proper location.
- Perform the headset duties during engine ground runs and aircraft towing in accordance with company TIM procedures.
- Adhere to Airside Safety Rules and Regulations in regard to driving and work area cleanliness.
- Purchase an approved tool kit containing appropriate tools to perform duties on the company and third-party fleets.
- Perform the required duties in accordance with AME and Duty Manager instructions and aircraft approved documentation procedures.
- Maintain a high level of self-discipline and respect for superiors' instructions.
- Become familiar with Gulf Air Information System AMOS and its basic transactions related to this work scope.
It will be advantageous to have 3 to 5 years working as an A/C technician and/or general experience in a similar field. An apprenticeship with a reputable Aircraft Maintenance Organization shall be an additional advantage.
QualificationsMust be able to write, read and understand English to be able to understand aircraft approved documentation procedures while performing routine and non-routine tasks on the company fleet during maintenance input.
It will be an advantage to pass Basic Aircraft License Modules or hold a valid EASA Basic Aircraft License or equivalent which is recognized by BCAA and company Technical Quality Assurance.
