JOB PURPOSEConduct Airport Service Quality (ASQ) surveys, fieldwork studies, and other data collection initiatives. This role is essential for gathering insights into passenger journey and operational efficiency. The Associate will ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting to support continuous improvement efforts and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include collaborating with various airport stakeholders, maintaining high standards of data integrity, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes based on collected data.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Conduct Surveys: Administer and manage airport operations surveys to gather relevant data tailored to specific study requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of customer satisfaction.
- Execute ASQ fieldwork in accordance with the Airport Council International (ACI) guidelines and established sample plans, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Assess Airport Services: Conduct thorough assessments of various airport services and facilities to verify compliance with ASQ and Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards, identifying areas needing improvement.
- Data Collection: Utilize diverse methodologies, including direct observations, interviews, and case studies, to collect and compile accurate data that informs operational decisions. Provide insights and feedback to support continuous improvement in airport services and operations fostering a culture of excellence and responsiveness to passenger needs.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings, highlighting areas of improvement and recommending actions to enhance service quality based on conducted surveys and studies.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with various departments, including customer service, operations, and management, to ensure alignment on service standards and improvement initiatives. Engage with passengers, stakeholders, and airport authorities to gather qualitative feedback, enriching the quantitative data collected through surveys.
Minimum: High School Diploma.
Desirably: experience in aviation or business field.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLSFluent in the main local language (Arabic).
Upper-intermediate knowledge of English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective survey administration and reporting.
Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with passengers, staff, and stakeholders.
High level of attention to detail in conducting quality checks and data collection.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with ICAO, Bahrain Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA), and other relevant international standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and assess operational risks.
- Investigate aviation incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor safety performance indicators, analyze safety data, and prepare detailed safety reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for all personnel, fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries from employees, management, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all national and international aviation safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Manage the safety reporting system, encouraging voluntary reporting and ensuring effective feedback loops.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, maintenance, and flight crew, to integrate safety into all processes.
- Recommend and implement safety improvements based on incident investigations, audit findings, and industry trends.
- Participate in safety committees and meetings, contributing to strategic safety planning.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Support emergency response planning and drills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Safety, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in aviation safety, safety management systems (SMS), or flight operations within an airline, airport, or aviation services company.
- Strong knowledge of ICAO Annex 19 (SMS), BCAA regulations, and other international aviation safety standards.
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, Aviation Safety Management certification) are highly desirable.
- Pilot's license, air traffic control license, or aircraft maintenance license is a significant advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific safety management software.
- Knowledge of human factors in aviation.
