Overall Role Purpose
- To carry out maintenance, repair, modifications and alterations to customer or company owned, leased or operated aircraft.

- Inputting of all relevant aircraft Tech Log and Work Order information including component changes into the TRAX computer maintenance program and the writing of concise shift turnover reports.

- To provide AD HOC Aircraft AOG recovery support when required.
- Must be able to analyse and troubleshoot aircraft systems and engines utilising knowledge learnt from individual aircraft type courses, maintenance manuals and references, and experience gained from “hands on” practical OJT.
- Must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions based on problem solving ability and experience. Remains objective and co-ordinates with relevant departments, even when under pressure, to make a calculated decision with considerations given to safe ‘on time performance’ of the company fleet.
- Must be able to prioritise work requirements based on fleet arrivals, departures and scheduled maintenance. Monitor progress throughout shift, anticipate problems and adjust work or schedule to ensure optimum serviceability at all times. Including flying technical support when called upon.
Your Profile:
- Must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years aircraft maintenance experience on type, excluding apprenticeship or basic training, with experience working on Boeing 767 aircraft.
- Must be a licensed, certifying and company approved engineer on the principal types operated.
- Valid EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License or ICAO Type 2 License, with endorsement in Boeing 767 Aircraft.
- Must be able to communicate assertively, effectively and diplomatically with flight crew, flight dispatchers, ground handling personnel and senior management, as required.

Main ObjectivesThe post holder is required to perform all routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on all the current and future fleet in accordance with approved maintenance schedules and documentation, strictly adhering to authority rules and regulations.
He/She will support the recovery of AOG situations and maintain Company and third-party aircraft in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule using approved methods and procedures.
- Perform Routine & Non-Routine maintenance on Company fleets & Third-party aircraft as per BCAA Regulations & Company Requirements. Supervise assigned Technicians while performing their duties. Certify for all work performed.
- Obtain company certification authorization to qualify for certifying routine & non-routine maintenance tasks on company fleets within the scope of company approval.
- Obtain the required certification authorization to certify work performed on third-party aircraft.
- Perform duties when deemed necessary at short notice to accompany aircraft for routine & non-routine maintenance tasks.
- Perform any task operationally deemed necessary to maintain the fleet in an airworthy condition.
- Attend training as per company requirements and sit on company technical boards for obtaining Aircraft Type Certification.
- Perform technical representation at facilities outside the home base when required by the company.
- Maintain self-read & write continuation training.
- Travel when required for the recovery of aircraft during an AOG situation.
- Strictly adhere to company staff & safety rules & regulations.
- Comply with approved maintenance documents when performing all maintenance tasks and acquaint self with all safety-related precautions to avoid personal injuries or damages to aircraft structures and systems.
- Ensure proper tools and equipment used for aircraft maintenance are in serviceable and safe condition at all times. Report any faulty tools or equipment to the Duty Manager.
- Identify and isolate unserviceable tools/equipment and attach with an unserviceable tag.
- Ensure all tools used are registered to ensure removal on task completion.
- Adhere to Airside safety rules and regulations regarding driving and work areas.
- Comply with the Company policy and procedures as laid down in the Technical Publications (i.e., TIM, MOE, etc.).
- Maintain a high level of self-discipline and respect towards superiors' instructions.
- Receive training to perform specialized tasks like boroscope on company fleet engines, structure assessment/repair, and others when operationally required.
- Deputize for the Duty Manager during absence due to vacation, sickness, or training when necessary.
- Ensure that all tools, including mechanics toolboxes, are checked before and after each task carried out on the aircraft. CRS must be signed only when all tools are accounted for.
Minimum of 7 years experience in aviation maintenance and 3-5 years as a fully qualified certifying engineer.
QualificationsHolder of a valid AME license recognized by BCAA and Gulf Air QA, endorsed with Type rating on two of the company aircraft. Must be computer literate and fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Must have completed a recognized aircraft engineer apprenticeship/formal training.
