  • Stay current with the latest advancements in bioinformatics, genomics, and computational biology.
  • Contribute to the writing of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Mentor junior bioinformaticians and provide technical support to research staff.
  • Ensure the quality, reproducibility, and documentation of all analyses performed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in bioinformatics analysis, with a strong focus on NGS data.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python, R, and Perl.
  • Experience with standard bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, Samtools, GATK, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser).
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applicable to biological data.
  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • A track record of publications in reputable scientific journals is highly desirable.
