The role holder is responsible for conceptualization, launch and management of the Banks SME products. As such they will be responsible for driving profitability by developing an optimized mix and pricing for finance & liability products & partnerships ensuring its management and roll out across sales channels. The role holder is also responsible for the continuous development of the products based on market trends and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Works collaboratively with internal stakeholder on product ideation and preforms studies to ensure product ideas are aligned to the bank strategy and meet commercial, technical and operational feasibility criteria.
- Owns the product vision, collects business requirements and translates them into a value-oriented product roadmap as part of objectives, customer needs and market trends.
- Develops and executes the detailed business plan for SME products, including target segments, detailed product design and structuring, product pricing, delivery channels, sales strategy and operational and customer service processes.
- Develops all documentation around the new product including Product Program, Go to Market Strategy, Process Notes and recommends relevant changes to policies and procedures.
Provides relevant support to front line teams (both sales and customer support) including training, sales briefs, FAQs and trouble shooting guides. - Leads the new product approval process by getting approvals from relevant stakeholders.
Partners with Legal & Compliance teams to ensure that products efficiently meet all regulatory requirements and all relevant regulatory communications are made.
Product Management
Owns and monitors products balance sheet and P&L to constantly seek to rationalise, enhance and grow the product offerings to achieve balance sheet and P&L objectives.
- Enhances current products and services based on new industry trends or opportunities as well as identifying gaps in current products based on the feedback provided by front office teams and to continuously improve customer
satisfaction. - Prepares business requirements for product enhancement and works collaboratively with IT for implementation.
Acts as a product promoter internally and externally, working closely with Marketing & Communication team, to prepare the product marketing plan including sales & marketing material
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) - MBA, PMP, CIM, certifications on product management, service design etc. are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in SME Product Management
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and management in an SME / commercial banking context.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Banking or any related discipline is mandatory
- 3- 5 Years of experience-Minimum 3 years of experience in a Bank in Sales
- Strong knowledge of SME market in Bahrain.
Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Bahrain rules and regulations.
