As a Quantity Surveyor (Civil & MEP), you will be responsible for performing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and budget tracking for high-rise construction projects. You will work closely with the engineering, procurement, and project control teams to ensure cost efficiency and transparency across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for Civil and MEP disciplines.
Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from IFC/shop drawings.
Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and value engineering proposals.
Evaluate and validate subcontractor quotations and variation claims.
Track material usage and cost-to-complete forecasts.
Prepare interim payment applications, valuations, and final accounts.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 -8 years of experience in GCC, specifically on high-rise buildings.
Strong knowledge in both Civil and MEP systems.
Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, CostX / Bluebeam / Planswift, and MS Excel.
Familiarity with contract forms (e.g., FIDIC) and project controls.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

- Analytical skills: you must be able to analyze project requirements to accurately estimate costs for each component.

- Time management skills: you should be able to do multiple tasks and provide cost estimates in a timely manner to help projects stay on time and on budget.
- Working out what a contract will cost to deliver while ensuring it returns a profit.
- Deal with the preparation, processing, and submission of bids to supply a sign or display.
- Put together project plans by calculating the costs required to meet the client's technical specifications, taking into account the cost of materials, equipment hire, labor, and other requirements.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

- 8–10 years of proven experience in the GCC, ideally on large-scale building or high-rise projects.
- Strong technical knowledge in both Civil and MEP quantity surveying.
- Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, CostX, Bluebeam, Planswift, and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of contract forms (FIDIC or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- GCC experience and a valid driving license are mandatory.
