RoleWe are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians troubleshoot and resolve a range of data center infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and hardware for data centers in AWS Cloud regions. You will become the primary resolver for your support team and gain troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases. You will be able to troubleshoot and solve most infrastructure issues and engage other appropriate solutions groups on more complex problems to drive solutions.

Main Tasks:
- Operate and maintain the On-Premises and co-located data center and related facilities.
- Keep track of all Company Data Center facilities, assets, equipment, installations, access control systems, fire suppression systems, etc.
- Implement and execute the necessary Data Center facility development, maintenance, support, and operation.
- Continuously monitor Data Center facilities, power and cooling (HVAC), security access control, compute, storage, network and telecommunications equipment and services, system logs and alerts.
- Carry on preventative and planned/unplanned maintenance activities of Data Center resources.
- Coordinate all faulty hardware replacement, capacity expansion, server installation, decommissioning with internal technical teams, vendors, partners, and external customers.
- Manage the installation of pre-integrated racks, individual servers and network appliances including stacking, wiring, cable managing and equipment labeling.
- Ensure all necessary operational arrangements are in place to maintain and recover the Data Center facilities and services in the event of a disaster or major unplanned outage, as per approved Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Work closely with approved service providers, maintain accurate Data Center configuration and operation documentation, update timely and accurately relevant documentation and diagrams.
- 24 hours On-Call to provide urgent support especially on continuous operation that affects the company’s production.
- Follow the internal General Data Center Guidelines.
Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in the same field.
- Mandatory requirement: Car plus driver license.

As an Engineering Operations Engineer, you will operate and maintain AWS DCs’ world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure following a process-oriented approach. In addition, you will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.

SAFETY
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
- You will be supporting electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment within the data center
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
- Work rotational shifts of 4 days of 12 hours shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), and 4 days off (including night, weekends and holidays) / Respond to on-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
- Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to join our expanding Data Centers (DC) Cloud regions. Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder.
As an Engineering Operations Engineer, you will operate and maintain AWS DCs' world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure following a process-oriented approach. In addition, you will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
If you like to apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems while striving for operational excellence, we would like to meet you. Your work will help maintain availability for customers and ensure the upkeep and operation of the technical infrastructure in the DC.
Key job responsibilities
SAFETY
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
- You will be supporting electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment within the data center
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
A day in the life
- Work rotational shifts of 4 days of 12 hours shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), and 4 days off (including night, weekends and holidays) / Respond to on-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
- Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Occasionally Move objects/material (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
- Work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Work in noisy environments
- Work at heights and from ladders
