Main Tasks:
- Operate and maintain the On-Premises and co-located data center and related facilities.
- Keep track of all Company Data Center facilities, assets, equipment, installations, access control systems, fire suppression systems, etc.
- Implement and execute the necessary Data Center facility development, maintenance, support, and operation.
- Continuously monitor Data Center facilities, power and cooling (HVAC), security access control, compute, storage, network and telecommunications equipment and services, system logs and alerts.
- Carry on preventative and planned/unplanned maintenance activities of Data Center resources.
- Coordinate all faulty hardware replacement, capacity expansion, server installation, decommissioning with internal technical teams, vendors, partners, and external customers.
- Manage the installation of pre-integrated racks, individual servers and network appliances including stacking, wiring, cable managing and equipment labeling.
- Ensure all necessary operational arrangements are in place to maintain and recover the Data Center facilities and services in the event of a disaster or major unplanned outage, as per approved Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Work closely with approved service providers, maintain accurate Data Center configuration and operation documentation, update timely and accurately relevant documentation and diagrams.
- 24 hours On-Call to provide urgent support especially on continuous operation that affects the company’s production.
- Follow the internal General Data Center Guidelines.
Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in the same field.
- Mandatory requirement: Car plus driver license.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, Instrumentation and Control, project management or similar technical focus
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory

Job Description
To support the Data Center (24x7 on shift basis) and maintain high quality and professional standard, by the following means:
2. Troubleshoots issues that may cause system outages & report on any issues to support groups when necessary. Initiates corrective action promptly. Interfaces with necessary customers and/or business support groups and escalates issues to appropriate persons accordingly.
3. Monitor and verify the UPS, Fire Alarms, Generators, Air conditioning functional in Data Center. Monitors the physical environment in which computer systems are housed. Ensures the security of the environment, and that the environment is adequate for optimal system performance. If not, co-ordinate with support groups to get them working.
4. Receive, monitor and process all batch processing tasks for failures and scheduling problems jobs in IT environments.
6. Execute and monitor all data center scheduled activities and jons
7. Act as first level Service Desk support to solve certain technical and/or customer problems within scope of defined standards. Log and classify received Incidents, Undertake an immediate effort in order to restore a failed IT Service as quickly as possible.
8. Handle incidents and keep all concerned parties informed about status at agreed intervals.
9. Pick up the customers calls from the GF community in timely, pleasant and professional manner. Resolve customer reported IT problems remotely as being first line support and provide proper guidence to callers inquiries.
10. Use of the current Service Desk software for logging, resolving, transferring, updating and closing of the service requests and Incidents from the users.
11. Following the process and procedure in place and recommending any required changes based on experience in handling and reported issues.
12. Ability to handle multi-task and support various users at once. Must be capable of following a job to completion.
