  • You will implement the DoD Data Strategy Framework and the development, execution, management, and continual evolution of the Data Strategy Implementation Plan.
  • You will drive organizational culture and accompany teams in change management, influencing adoption of the data strategy through alignment on vision and workforce development.
  • You will adopt enterprise data standards that simultaneously improves overall data quality, data sharing, and data security, ensuring compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures, and architectures.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate qualifying experience demonstrating the following:

The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week).

Education

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, MSC in Data & Analytics, or relevant discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-year experience in banking or financial services.

Skills

  • Data Governance & Management: Expertise in data governance processes, including Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data Management, Data Profiling, and Data Quality (DQ) rules, with over 4 years of experience.
  • Data Quality & Risk Mitigation: Proficient in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating Data Quality issues and risks.
  • Data Quality Frameworks: Extensive experience in defining and implementing Data Quality Management Frameworks, processes, policies, and standards within business organizations.
  • Quantitative Data Analysis: Advanced skills in quantitative data analysis, drawing insights from data quality reports, dashboards in Power BI and Tableau, and raw data sets using SQL , SAS, Oracle SQL.
  • Banking & Financial Data: In-depth understanding of Banking and Financial products, associated data, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Project Management: very good understanding of project management imperatives and adherence to the processes.
  • Organizational & Communication Skills: Simplifying complex information and effectively communicating it to both IT and business users.
  • Cloud services: AWS services including Amazon Glue, Glue catalogue, Aws Step function, AWS Athena, and S3.

Responsibilities

  • Performed data profiling and quality assessments across different departments and systems to uncover data inconsistencies, duplication, and integrity issues.
  • Defined and documented Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in collaboration with business, compliance, risk, IT teams, etc. ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Partnered with stakeholders from IT, Operations, and Compliance to conduct root cause analysis of identified data quality (DQ) issues, define DQ rules, and support scalable remediation strategies.
  • Contributed to the implementation of MDM and RDM solutions to ensure consistent and unified customer and financial reference data across business lines.
  • Built dynamic Power BI dashboards for senior management, presenting data quality scores, issue trends, and remediation progress by business unit, with drilldowns for recurring root causes.
  • Contributed to bulk data cleansing initiatives using authoritative external government datasets to validate and enrich customer and account data, enhancing quality for both regulatory and business reporting.
  • Authored comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for data quality remediation projects.
  • Initiated data cataloguing practices in Microsoft Purview, enabling improved metadata management

Our client, a prestigious international bank, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join its dynamic Financial Risk Management division. This is a completely remote position, allowing you to contribute to critical risk assessments and strategies from anywhere. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced analytical models to identify, measure, and monitor various financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. The role demands a strong blend of statistical expertise, programming proficiency, and a deep understanding of financial markets and banking regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test, and validate sophisticated statistical and machine learning models for financial risk assessment.
  • Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from various internal and external sources.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and potential risk exposures.
  • Design and generate insightful reports and dashboards for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and building effective dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of financial instruments, markets, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel Accords).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a remote, collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure.
