JOB PURPOSEThe Senior Analyst - Data Analytics is responsible for utilizing advanced techniques and technologies to derive insights from complex datasets and promote data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role is crucial for designing and implementing data analytics models, algorithms, and dashboards that monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support proactive decision-making.
By keeping up with the latest trends and emerging technologies in data analytics, the Senior Analyst will enhance the organization’s analytical capabilities, improve data-driven strategies, and help achieve strategic objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESConduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
Develop and implement data analytics models, algorithms, and dashboards to track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data analytics projects.
Perform statistical analysis and data modeling to develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions.
Prepare and present reports, visualizations, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Assist in data quality assurance activities, including data cleansing and validation.
Support the implementation and maintenance of data analytics tools and platforms.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics to recommend innovative solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics into business processes and decision-making.
Adhere to data security, privacy, and compliance policies and regulations.
Technical Responsibilities:
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Power BI, SQL, Python, R, and Tableau.
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methods, data visualization techniques, and data mining concepts.
Familiarity with data manipulation and transformation techniques.
Understanding of basic machine learning algorithms and their application in data analytics.
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleansing and manipulation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

What do we teach?
- In this 24week (part-time) Data Analytics Bootcamp, students learn and practice turning messy real-world datasets into actionable, data-driven insights they can communicate. We will be using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python as the tools for analysis.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You have strong experience using the following tools: Excel, SQL, Tableau, POWER BI and Python Programming.
- You are eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of eager General Assembly students.
- You are the person that your colleagues naturally gravitate to when they are trying to figure something out.
- You have at least 3 years of work experience in a role where you’ve been responsible for cleaning messy data, analyzing the data and presenting your data based insights.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Teach Sunday to Wednesday, 6pm to 9pm for the duration of the 24-week course, in-person on campus in Bahrain.
- Instructors will need to commit a few hours per day preparing lessons and materials, leveraging existing GA curriculum content.
- Work alongside GA staff and teaching team to best meet the needs and learning styles of your students.
- Guide students through development of a stellar final project that will showcase their abilities to hiring managers.
- Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community.
- Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of learning a new suite of skills.

Data Analytics Lead Instructor
In this immersive course, students learn and practice turning messy real-world datasets into actionable, data-driven insights they can communicate. We will be using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI and Python as the primary tools for analysis. We are looking for an instructor to lead this In-Campus (based in Bahrain) Analytics course. This role is a full-time, temporary position that includes a start and end date for this cohort. There may be potential to receive an additional assignment offering, but additional assignments are not guaranteed.
This role is to be performed on-site, in-campus in Bahrain .
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You have strong experience using the following tools: Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI and Python.
