Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to spearhead critical projects within their organization. This pivotal role requires a blend of deep analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong project management capabilities. You will lead a team of data scientists and analysts, guiding them through the entire project lifecycle from conceptualization and data acquisition to model development, deployment, and performance monitoring. Your responsibilities will include defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals. You will oversee the application of advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data mining methods to solve complex business problems. This includes developing predictive models, optimizing processes, and generating actionable insights from large datasets. Effective stakeholder management and clear communication of complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences are crucial. You will be responsible for project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate possesses a Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics), extensive experience in data science, and a proven ability to lead and mentor data science teams. Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, proficiency with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop), and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are required.
