Job Purpose

To lead detailed System and Application Software engineering configuration, design, assembly and testing team of various Control Systems and Human Machine Interface as per the Power & Water Projects requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Lead the System Engineering Team in a project.
2. Review the Project technical specification requirements and Standards.
3. Review work procedures and product specifications.
4. Report to the Project Manager on day-to-day activities.
5. Perform detailed System and Application Software engineering, design, assembly and testing of the control system as per the Customer requirements.
6. Prepare and review Software related Bill of Material for various Systems.
7. Coordinate with Customer Engineers for technical issues.
8. Prepare and review Purchase Order for various Projects Materials.
9. Coordinate with Lead Project Engineer for technical interface.
10. Coordinate with Document Controller for Control of Project documentation and QC Engineer for Inspection and Testing related activities.
11. Arrange Internal Meetings for achieving Project milestones.
12. Monitor and control Project Progress.
13. Adhere to the Project Schedule & Project Quality Plan.
14. Prepare Scope of work deviations and tracking.
15. Participate in site acceptance test, commissioning, and start-up activities.
16. Handover project to TSD after SAT.

Qualification And Experience

1. A Degree in Engineering Field. Specifically in Instrumentation or Electronics.
2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of Control Systems (DCS / ESD / PLC based control systems including Application Software).
3. Experience in Power & Water project execution.
4. Experience in execution of Retrofit projects.
5. Experience in handling multiple projects and delivering projects on-time.

The role entails

• Design and implementation of features across the Mir stack
• Assisting in debugging, tracking down and fixing issues
• Participating in our engineering process through code and architectural review
• Creating and improving tests and performance benchmarks to catch issues early
• Creating and maintaining documentation to enhance the developer experience
• Engaging with the open source community and commercial partners

• Excellent Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM or similar and 2+ years of working experience
• Excellent modern C++ and excellent Rust programming skills
• Familiarity with Linux as a development and deployment platform
• Ability to collaborate remotely with a diverse set of team members and remain highly motivated, productive, and organized
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long

• You are familiar with OpenGL, Vulkan, Flutter and other graphics, toolkits and animation frameworks

• Designing, developing, and implementing automated control systems for manufacturing processes.
