Role Description

This is a full-time role for an 11KV Authorized Electrical Engineer at Green Innova. As an Electrical Engineer, the day-to-day tasks include designing electrical systems, overseeing electricity distribution, and managing power systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards and contributing to various renewable energy projects. This is an on-site role located in Capital Governorate, Bahrain.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus
• Authorized to work with 11KV electrical systems

Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic related faults/errors codes in construction machinery, i.e., Liebherr Cranes, Asphalt machines, Wheel loaders, Generators, etc. Able to read and understand circuit diagrams.

Ensure the overall success and execution of electrical designs and any further assigned technical project issues, including cost, schedule, design to cost, product integrity, and availability.

Deliver electrical analyses, design, and detailing of electrical components of a building or other structure. Coordinate with other designers, including architects, geotechnical, civil, and MEP engineers, to investigate all conditions affecting electrical design and to agree on safe designs that fit the aesthetic concept of the construction.

Budget and Plans

Review and comment on third-party electrical proposals, including designs and shop drawings.

Liaise closely with various airport departments and other stakeholders to ensure all relevant information is available for efficient project delivery.

Support processes to improve team efficiencies and share learning experiences for future developments across the group.

Programming

Establish, plan, and manage programmes related to design works. Define objectives, follow up on design progress, and ensure that new buildings are erected in a structurally sound sequence through effective on-site supervision during execution.

Project Management

Act as project manager, technical lead, or client representative on small or civil-only projects. Serve as the key communication point for all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure timely information sharing and decision-making, facilitating efficient project development and delivery.

BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering,

CEng, MIEE, or equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering.

Experience in design management for major projects.

We are looking for a talented BIM Engineer (Electrical) to join our team and lead the development and coordination of BIM models for electrical systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring our BIM processes drive accurate planning, clash-free designs, and successful project execution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and manage detailed electrical BIM models using Revit and Navisworks.
• Conduct clash detection against other disciplines (mechanical, structural) and resolve design conflicts collaboratively.
• Generate accurate electrical shop drawings, line diagrams, and layouts to support construction and prefabrication.
• Work closely with site teams to ensure BIM models reflect actual site conditions and help resolve site queries related to electrical rooms, cable routing, and equipment.
• Prepare BIM reports, visualizations, and presentations for project teams and clients.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates for electrical works.
• Support development of as-built BIM models and manage timely information exchange with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in electrical engineering with significant BIM involvement (strong BIM-focused graduates also considered).
• Solid understanding of electrical design principles (power distribution, lighting, containment, low-current systems) and construction practices.
• Proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM 360/ACC, Solibri, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and BIM best practices (e.g., ISO 19650).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: experience with 4D/5D BIM, parametric electrical content creation, BMS integration, BIM certifications, or electrical analysis tools like ETAP or DIALux.
