- Expected Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Electronics Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional certificate relevant to the discipline
- Membership from International Professional Bodies/Organizations/Associations
Preference will be given to candidates graduated from ABET accredited university.
- Expected Experience:
- Worked as an Associate Professor in a higher education institute recognized by Higher Education Council (HEC) in Bahrain.
- A minimum of five years’ experience of teaching different courses in Electrical Engineering (in the specialization and other related courses).
- A minimum of five years of relevant industrial experience in the field of specialization.
- Good experience in developing course specifications as per the National Qualification Framework and international accreditation standards.
- Good experience in utilizing different software relevant to the specialization.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Software Developer with a strong background in Web UI development and implementing .NET-based web applications . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with JavaScript , CSS , ASP.Net MVC , Web API , cross-browser compatibility fixes, and solid knowledge of database querying and integration. You will be responsible for building responsive, robust, and scalable web applications that offer seamless user experiences across all major browsers (and some legacy browsers like Internet Explorer 11) and devices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive Web UIs using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks.
- Build and maintain ASP.Net MVC applications with seamless integration between front-end and back-end.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs using ASP.Net Web API.
- Implement secure, high-performing, and scalable .NET-based web solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and DevOps.
- Design and interact with relational databases; write efficient SQL queries and work with stored procedures.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for desktop and mobile platforms.
- Follow best practices for software development, including code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
- Continuously improve application performance and maintainability.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical design discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or another related field.
- Overall 8+ years of professional experience in software development, and 5+ years with extensive focus on Web UI and .NET-based applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS (including Flexbox, Grid, etc.).
- Expertise in ASP.Net MVC and Web API development.
- Experience developing responsive and cross-browser compatible user interfaces especially with Internet Explorer 11.
- Thorough knowledge of ECMA 5/6 standards.
- Proficient in working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including writing queries, stored procedures, and optimization.
- Knowledge of web application security and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, or Bit Bucket.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap, Knockout, JQuery.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with C# language and Dot Net.
- Familiarity with containerization concepts, hands-on experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Entity Framework or other ORM tools.
- Knowledge of Unit Testing with frameworks like XUnit, NUnit, MSTest, etc.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- High levels of initiative, along with the ability to work with minimal oversight, and capability to multitask.
- A team player, with willingness to assist other team members through brainstorming, review, mentorship, or knowledge-sharing to improve the performance of the team.

We regularly solve interesting, technical problems. From triaging complex cloud environments, desktop and server issues, Linux kernel crashes we've never seen before to OS configuration issues and root cause analysis, we provide an expert level of support and satisfaction to our peer groups and customers. You will be accountable for delivering an outstanding technical support experience on the full technical stack at Canonical, across cloud, desktop and IoT. From problem qualification to full resolution, you will own and manage your cases. When needed, you will transfer your cases to your colleagues or involve senior engineers. This is a globally remote role.

The role entails
- Working from your remote home office to provide technical support for employees.
- Being available to take ownership of new cases via telephone, email and web
- Acting as an internal customer advocate keeping them updated in a timely manner
- Ensuring that each support case owned by you is handled according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the highest possible customer satisfaction by setting the right expectations and fulfilling your commitments.
- Contributing new knowledge base articles and maintaining existing articles, ensuring shared knowledge and lessons learned are available to customers.
- Drafting and distributing technical notices for internal and external communication.
- Prioritising your work in order to accomplish the most important and urgent tasks first
- Keeping on learning as our products and services grow and evolve
- Understanding Ubuntu development process to be able to set customer expectations correctly on timeline for a fix
- Maintaining regular communication and information exchange with the rest of the team, locally and remotely
- Identifying and suggesting any opportunities to provide a better service
- Participating in a regular weekend working rotation
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path. Preferable majors: Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.
- Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
- Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
- Experience with Linux troubleshooting (collecting logs and stack traces, fine-tuning by editing configuration files)
- Knowledge or basic hands-on experience on 2 or more of:
- Linux server administration
- Programming fundamentals in any language (bash, Perl, Ruby, Javascript, C or C++, Go)
- Networking (bonding, firewalling, bridging, switching, network file system tuning, MTU issues, etc.)
- Virtualization / Cloud computing concepts (provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.)
- Ability to learn quickly, thrive on change and handle the pressure of a customer facing job
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
