Our client, a premier sports and entertainment company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of their high-profile venue in Riffa. This is a critical on-site role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all venue activities, from event setup and execution to ongoing facility management. You will lead a team of operational staff, coordinating various departments to deliver exceptional experiences for attendees, athletes, and performers. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage complex logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing operational plans, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence among your team. You will work closely with event promoters, security personnel, and external vendors to guarantee seamless event execution. This role requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of venue operations in the sports and entertainment industry.

- Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure efficient event execution.
- Manage and lead a diverse team of operational staff, including supervisors, technicians, and support personnel.
- Ensure the venue is clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with event organizers, promoters, security teams, and external contractors to meet event requirements.
- Manage inventory of venue supplies, equipment, and resources, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and seeking opportunities for efficiency.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event-specific infrastructure, including seating, staging, and technical equipment.
- Respond to and resolve operational issues and emergencies in a prompt and effective manner.
- Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations to ensure high service standards.
- Implement and monitor compliance with all relevant safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with facility maintenance teams to address any building-related issues.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among all venue staff.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and guest experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in venue operations, event management, or facility management, preferably within the sports and entertainment industry.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of event planning, logistics, and operational execution.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations pertinent to public venues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Experience with venue management software and tools is a plus.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the role, which may include extended periods of standing and walking.
