Role Overview

The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Guide inspires and equips learners to develop creative ideas, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial thinking. The role focuses on guiding students through hands-on projects, design challenges, and business simulations, enabling them to understand the process of turning ideas into impactful solutions. The Guide bridges creativity, technology, and business acumen, preparing learners to navigate a dynamic and fast-changing world.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instruction & Facilitation

  • Lead sessions on innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurship fundamentals.
  • Introduce learners to key concepts such as ideation, prototyping, marketing, and financial planning.
  • Facilitate workshops where students create, test, and refine business or social enterprise ideas.

2. Project & Business Development

  • Mentor learners in designing and pitching entrepreneurial projects, start-up concepts, or social impact initiatives.
  • Guide students through the process of developing business models, conducting market research, and presenting proposals.
  • Support participation in innovation fairs, competitions, and exhibitions.

3. Real-World Connections

  • Build partnerships with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to enrich the program.
  • Organise guest lectures, internships, or mentorship opportunities for learners.
  • Provide exposure to both traditional and emerging industries (tech, sustainability, creative sectors).

4. Learner Engagement & Mentorship

  • Encourage resilience, problem-solving, and adaptability in students.
  • Provide individual feedback and coaching to help learners refine their ideas and skills.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration through group innovation projects.

5. Program & Resource Management

  • Maintain resources, including design tools, digital platforms, and prototyping materials.
  • Ensure that all projects are carried out responsibly, ethically, and with respect for intellectual property.
  • Document learner progress, project outcomes, and program impact.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
  • Professional experience as an entrepreneur, innovator, or business consultant (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of start-up ecosystems, business models, and design thinking practices.
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring, or facilitating workshops with young learners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to integrate digital tools, AI platforms, and modern business practices into learning.

Core Competencies

Role Overview

You will play a critical role in expanding Oryxa’s network of merchants, partners, and financial institutions across the GCC. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, engage, and onboard import/export merchants, distributors, and corporate clients across priority sectors (e.g., automotive, industrial, FMCG, electronics).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, PSPs, FX providers, and ecosystem partners.
  • Work closely with the founder and leadership team to refine go-to-market strategy and sales processes.
  • Manage the entire sales pipeline — from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closing.
