Our client, a premier event venue and catering company, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Event Sales Manager to join their team. This is an on-site position, crucial for building and nurturing client relationships and driving revenue for our venue. You will be the primary point of contact for potential clients, responsible for understanding their needs and crafting bespoke event solutions that exceed expectations.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Generating new business leads through proactive networking, industry events, and strategic outreach.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to all event inquiries, providing tailored proposals and quotations.
  • Conducting site visits and venue tours for prospective clients, highlighting the venue's unique selling points.
  • Negotiating contract terms and closing sales to meet or exceed individual and team targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborating closely with the Event Operations team to ensure seamless event execution from sales to delivery.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing creative sales strategies and promotional activities.
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM system with all client interactions and sales pipeline information.
  • Attending industry trade shows and networking events to represent the company and generate leads.
  • Contributing to marketing efforts by providing insights into client needs and preferences.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality, event management, or venue sector, is required. Proven success in B2B sales and achieving sales targets is essential. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are critical. A strong understanding of event planning processes and venue capabilities is highly advantageous. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite is expected. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by client needs and event schedules, is a must.
