Our client, a prominent food processing company committed to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness, is seeking a dedicated Hygiene and Sanitation Officer. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage and implement hygiene protocols across our facilities from anywhere. As a Hygiene and Sanitation Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive sanitation programs to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain an impeccably clean working environment. Your duties will include conducting regular inspections of production areas, equipment, and storage facilities to identify potential hygiene risks and ensure adherence to cleaning schedules. You will develop and update cleaning procedures, train staff on proper sanitation techniques, and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. A thorough understanding of food safety standards, such as HACCP and GMP, is crucial. The ideal candidate will have experience in sanitation management within the food industry, with a strong knowledge of chemical sanitizers and their applications. You will be responsible for investigating any sanitation-related incidents, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining detailed records of all sanitation activities. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff are essential for success in this remote role. A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred, along with demonstrable experience in a similar capacity. - Investigate and report on sanitation deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all sanitation activities, including cleaning logs and audit reports.
- Promote a culture of hygiene and safety throughout the organization.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in hygiene and sanitation management, preferably in the food processing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and sanitation principles.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and their proper use.
- Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Ability to manage and execute tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
