Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to join their esteemed legal department. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of employment law, advising the company on compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of labor laws, regulations, and best practices, with a proven ability to navigate complex employment litigation and transactional matters. You will play a critical role in ensuring a fair and compliant workplace environment.

- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of employment law matters, including hiring, termination, wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, and leave laws.
- Draft, review, and update employment policies, handbooks, and employment agreements.
- Conduct internal investigations into employee complaints and allegations.
- Represent the company in employment-related litigation, administrative proceedings, and arbitrations.
- Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs for HR and management on employment law compliance.
- Review and negotiate separation agreements and other employment-related contracts.
- Assist with employment aspects of corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.
- Stay current on legislative changes and legal developments impacting employment law.
- Partner with HR to manage employee relations issues and develop effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 7 years of focused experience in employment law, either in-house or at a law firm.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA).
- Proven experience representing employers in employment litigation and investigations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and employee relations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and provide clear guidance to non-legal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
- Experience advising multinational corporations is a plus.
