Job Purpose

Lead Engineer – CCTV & Telecom takes care of the CCTV Solutions and Telecom Solutions Business for the processing industries.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  1. CCTV/Telecom engineer principal role is to lead initiatives to design and implement system architecture onto the manufacturing environment.
  2. Create FDS (Functional Design Specification), Bill of Material during project execution stage.
  3. Writing network specifications, design approach and documents, for project implementation.
  4. Supporting the activities of the multinational engineering team with the project manager.

Qualification and Experience

  1. Bachelor degree preferably in Computer Engineering / Electronics and Communication / Instrumentation or similar stream.
  2. At least 12 years’ experience in CCTV / Telecom industry and 2 years of Leading project experience. Approximately 50% travel.
  3. Project experience of Access Control, PAGA and Anti-Intrusion System.
  4. Candidate should have experience of Oil and Gas Industry Project implementation.

Competencies

  1. Understanding of one or more of the following businesses: Oil and gas production, Refineries, Chemical plants.
  2. Understanding of one or more of the following functions in the processing industry: IT Security.
  3. Fluency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Auto Cad, Visio and Word.
  4. Capability in conducting business in English both in speaking and writing.
  5. Ability to manage a team of engineers.
  6. Familiarity with available technology in the automation market.

Job Description

What you’ll do;

  • Serves as the technical leader/manager in the ITR engineering organization to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
  • Represent the technical focal point in projects thru coordination and planning all aspects of assessing, proposing, and technical execution of projects by leveraging the regional and global teams.
  • Supports manufacturing plants, including GESAT in Saudi Arabia, as a technical resource in engineering issue resolution.
  • Experienced in combined-cycle power plants and aware of decarbonization technologies. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in this area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Provides technical management throughout the project execution process and works closely with fulfillment teams in assuring a smooth handover and execution with mitigated risk plans.

Job Description

The Field Services Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives.

In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

The Lead Field Service Engineer performes the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical analysis at the lab on a daily basis.
  • Compare the test results against chemical treatment program guidelines.
  • Provide early, on-site trouble-shooting response and act as a channel to utilize company product application technical support.
  • Realize the sampling and the analytical monitoring required as part of the monitoring plan.
  • Maintain the client's technical file up-to-date using a dedicated online platform.
  • Follow stock levels and ensure orders are timely.
  • Review the chemical injection rates of all production chemicals under this contract.
  • Ensure lines of communication to the company’s site manager are maintained to successfully deliver the Contract Scope.
  • Work with onsite company team to identify necessary spares and consumables stocking and ordering schedule.
  • Comply with Veolia & customer EHS requirements.
  • Comply with Veolia & customer ethics policies & local law.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in water chemical treatment (Desalination, RO, Boiler, Cooling & Waste Water) and Refinery chemical process treatment (Desalter, CDU, Amine unit, preheat exchanger, tank farm additives, etc .).
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen- results oriented.

Skills & abilities:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong communications skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be a real team player.
  • Self-initiative and motivation with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ensure compliance to Global Standards for planning
  • Builds tender integrated schedules using the established tools and processes and challenges the team to ensure schedule risk is managed with a balance of competitive offering aligned to historical performance
  • Builds and maintain the single project schedule representing the entire project by integrating inputs from all functions, units and third parties contributing to the project
  • Ensure proper linkages in schedule to show all interdependencies between contributing parties
  • Ensure functional owners sign off on commitments and are made accountable for their date
  • Works collaboratively with other overall project planning team to ensure optimal alignment of schedule with overall schedule
  • Delivers a high-quality schedule aligned with global standards to ensure project is accurately represented
  • Maintains schedule thru the entire project obtaining inputs from all project contributors
  • Drives regular operating rhythm with project team to review schedule status and operating rhythm
  • Challenges functional owners on forecast completion dates to ensure dates are realistic
  • Provides schedule analysis to forecast schedule risk and opportunities using available tools and experience
  • Provides look ahead, backlog and future late reporting with prioritizations to clearly communicate potential and real risk and drive the project priorities
  • Generates “what if” scenarios to optimize execution and works with project teams to evaluate feasibility
  • Provides strategies to mitigate risks
  • Drives functional owners to mitigate risks and follows up with functional owners on risk mitigation actions
  • Collaborate with 3rd parties on project schedules and cost
  • Provides and communicate regular status reporting

Cost Controlling

  • Ensure the project cost are managed with global standard tools and processes
  • Reviews project schedule and progress to identify cost risks and opportunities
  • Reviews project scope evolution to identify cost risk and opportunities
  • Reviews functional execution and events to identify cost risks and opportunities
  • Provides cost analytics using project information and analysing cost and productivity trends
  • Support PM to align project budgets to as sold in appropriate systems
  • Own and drive the Budget Deviation Process with tools
  • Drives a regular cost operating rhythm to discussion risk and opportunities
  • Develops cost forecasts based on functional input and analytics, challenges functional estimates where needed
  • Checks and controls cost movements, compares with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast. Also Compares with productivity factors and validates accuracy of estimates
  • Communicates cost status/forecasts/risk to functional cost owners and drives/supports risk mitigation
  • Presents all financial data in a transparent way, attends project and management review to present cost status and actions
  • Aligns with Finance Controller to ensure reconciliation takes place between approved project financial data and books.
  • Provide time based cost forecasts to support revenue recognition
  • Analyze all the risks and opportunities communicate clearly priorities and potential impacts
  • Support change order analysis
  • Support claim preparations
  • Ensure quality of the project controlling reporting
  • Ensure accuracy of cost budgets, actuals, and forecasting
  • Ensure collaboration with functional cost owners to find strategies to reduce cost
  • Ensure Alignment to established standards (WBS, process, procedures, tools usage)

Quality & Lean

  • Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes at GSI level and Project Controls Function
  • Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner
  • Identify areas of opportunity for standardization / optimization and where possible participate in a Kaizen or similar lean event to implement any identified improvements

EHS

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety through participation in formal and informal discussions
  • Adhere to all safe working procedures in accordance with instructions
  • Ensure safety work instructions are complied

An international engineering firm is seeking an accomplished Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join their prestigious team in **Isa Town, Southern, BH**. This role is essential for leading the electrical design aspects of major construction and industrial projects, ensuring adherence to high standards of safety, efficiency, and innovation.

The Lead Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and implementation of electrical systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure developments. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the electrical design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget.
  • Developing detailed electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and low-voltage systems.
  • Producing electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and calculations using CAD and relevant design software.
  • Performing load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit studies.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with relevant international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) and local Bahraini regulations.
  • Selecting appropriate electrical equipment and components, preparing technical specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Reviewing and approving shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor submissions.
  • Providing technical guidance and supervision to a team of electrical engineers and designers.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines (e.g., mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure integrated project design.
  • Conducting site inspections and commissioning activities to verify installation and performance.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional chartership (e.g., CEng) is highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.
  • Proven expertise in designing electrical systems for building services and industrial applications.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
