• Perform minor repairs and component replacements as required to ensure aircraft are airworthy.
• Interpret technical manuals, engineering orders, and service bulletins to guide maintenance actions.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately and completely in the aircraft logbook and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with flight crews, dispatch, and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient turnaround times.

• Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.
• Maintain all equipment in satisfactory condition. Recommend modifications of existing equipment and replacement of existing equipment that will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
• Monitor and review the operation of the plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop an annual budget for required maintenance activities. Review and report monthly on performance against the budget.
• Communicate directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
• Communicate directly with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of quality policies and procedures and maintaining ISO procedures.
• Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
• Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine the competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians and maintenance subdivision managers.
• Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
• Maintain and ensure implementation of safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures in line with department, company, and national legal requirements.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage plant and equipment shut-downs and turnarounds.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Specialized in Hydraulics.
• Six (6) plus years of hands-on experience in the metal industry, preferably in the aluminum industry.
• Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing, controlling, coordinating, and directing a Plant/Maintenance Department.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Computer skills, preferably Microsoft Office Suite, project planning, Skype, etc.

Assistance Multi-Task Senior Technician can attend and carry out repair and preventive maintenance works for air conditioning & ventilation units, electrical distribution systems, water supply systems, and plumbing for Gulf Aviation buildings.

1. Attend work order requests from client (GAA/GF) to repair and maintain Air conditioning & ventilation HVAC (including Chilled water system), Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing (MEP) i.e. electrical circuits and power distribution systems, water supply, sanitary fittings, storage water tanks, water pumps, plumbing, and drainage.
2. Assist in carrying out applicable preventive maintenance program (PPM) for the above-mentioned building services and equipment according to equipment manufacturer’s recommendations and GFG Facilities Management directions.
3. Assist in preparation of daily and monthly service reports including Chiller’s daily inspection report for the above-mentioned Building Services and equipment for attention and action of GFG FM.
4. Assist in preparation of list of necessary spares required for the satisfactory completion of the above-mentioned PPM and routine maintenance.
5. Assist in preparation of report to GFG FM on the required spares and verify the defective spares; moreover, provide root cause of failure report including carrying out troubleshooting for better performance of the equipment.
6. Attend emergency breakdown calls during normal working hours and if required after normal working hours.
7. Attend and close work order requests as soon as possible and report status of the works i.e. completed, on-hold, and which are not completed and provide justification for delays.
8. Assist Senior Technician to update list of existing equipment and building service installations for preparation of maintenance schedules or program of works.
9. Follow-up and supervise outsourced maintenance contractors and ensure that preventive maintenance activities are carried out properly for the special type equipment and services e.g., firefighting & Fire alarm, UPS, Stand-by Generators, Chiller unit, and swimming pool equipment.

Holder of Diploma/High National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Technical High School Certificate in Air conditioning engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3-5 years with any reputable Air-conditioning Contractor or Building Services Facilities Management company in the capacity of Air-conditioning Mechanic and Electrician.

Position Summary

The position will be responsible for performing Maintenance on all injection & Compression molding machines and may include maintenance on auxiliary equipment as well. The position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Elements & Position Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of repair and construction operations to install, maintain or modify a wide variety of machinery and auxiliary production equipment under general supervision.
• Diagnosing and remedy operating problems; disassemble, inspect and overhaul injection molding machine components. Assist higher classified Mechanic(s) in correcting machine operating problems. Confer with higher classified Mechanics or Supervisor on the need for repairs and/or replacement parts.
• Fitting and aligning precision mechanisms, drives, bearings, etc. Layout and install molding machines, equipment, etc. May assist contractors on major plant installation and/or expansion etc. to make or alter replacement parts. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check machine alignment, performance, fit parts, etc.
• Routine repair projects are performed under general supervision. Guidance and/or immediate supervision is provided on critical or extensive repair projects such as rebuilding injection molding presses, etc.
• Receives instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor on the jobs to be carried out and their priorities.
• Carries out tool changes according to laid down procedures and ensures the tool rack has the correct spares on it.
• Reviews the tools for repair to ensure there is an adequate supply of spare tools on a continuous basis.
• Carries out repairs to equipment on the shop floor or in the tool shop as quickly as possible to make sure there are no production stoppages.
• Ensures that all the required paperwork is correctly completed and updates the maintenance database, if possible, at the beginning and/or end of the shift.
• Repairs breakdowns as quickly as possible so that downtime is kept to a minimum and when necessary, obtain help from the Maintenance supervisor or Electrical department. All breakdowns and callouts are to be recorded in the maintenance database.
• Carries out equipment modifications or improvements under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains all the machinery and ancillary equipment based on the Gulf Closures maintenance plan
• Ensure the work area is always kept clean and tidy as well as free from spills.
• Reports on all faulty equipment to avoid problems in future.
• Reports any breakdowns that have not been fully rectified due to lack of spares or equipment.
• Actively looks for improvements to equipment or procedures.
• As the plant runs continually, you must be willing to work outside normal shift hours when the need arises.

Required Qualifications

• Broad, general background in the installation and maintenance of machines and process equipment.
• Familiarity with supporting systems including hydraulics, heat, and electrical controls, etc.
• Additional schooling and training may be required.
• Related education and/or experience equivalent to two to three years of trade school training plus one to three years of related work experience.
