MAIN OBJECTIVESThis is a crucial role in Revenue Management for managing and supporting Decision Support Systems used in driving Gulf Air Passenger and Revenue growth.
Manage all systems used by the Revenue Management team, ensuring optimal system availability and performance.
Ownership of Gulf Air critical Passenger and Revenue data and development of reports and presentations for Revenue Management, Commercial and Gulf Air Executive management teams.
Leading and liaising with various System vendors related to Revenue Management.
MAIN DUTIES- Lead and coordinate the development and maintenance of Gulf Air critical systems within Revenue Management with the relevant System vendors.
- Responsible for identifying, analysing and leading Gulf Air’s ADM policy with respect to Agency Abuses and process enhancements.
- Take ownership to document the requirements and develop the systems in coordination with the relevant vendors.
- Lead the continuous assessment of systems performance in terms of response times and accuracy of inputs and outputs which play a major role in Passenger and Revenue growth.
- Own the coordination of cross departmental activities, ownership and accountability in mapping different violations in the Gulf Air’s ADM policy.
- Coordinate across different teams such as GFG Technology & Digital Services and Revenue Optimizer, Fares & Contract Manager users at HDQ and in the outstations to ensure necessary support for Decision Making impacting Gulf Air’s Revenue and passenger growth.
- Take ownership of testing and implementation of critical business requirements.
- Lead the technical support and configuration for GF outstations with respect to Reservations, Contract Manager and Groups Management Systems.
- Manage and Lead Revenue Management Systems projects related to Revenue Optimizer, Revenue Integrity, Dynamic Availability, Sabre Sonic Inventory, Contract Manager, Fares Manager, Merchandizing Manager, etc.
- Own the Configuration and Maintenance of critical Business Rules, System Strategies and other system configurations in Revenue Optimizer, Revenue Integrity, Dynamic Availability and SabreSonic Inventory Systems to enhance/protect Inventory Availability and quality revenue.
- Take ownership of tracking and reporting critical KPIs such as Daily, Weekly, Monthly and other adhoc reporting for Pricing & Revenue Management and the wider Commercial Teams including other stakeholders in the Gulf Air Group and its subsidiaries.
- Influence Network Revenue Management strategy through interaction with key personnel in Pricing, Tariffs, Interline/Offline and Revenue Management teams.
- Take over Manager Revenue Management Systems responsibilities in his/her absence and other tasks related to Revenue Management Systems domain as required.
High standard of education, preferably to degree level in IT, Business or Numerate discipline.
Excellent written/spoken English language, equivalent to HND.
High level of proficiency using Analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Being a highly analytical/technical role, Job holder is required to demonstrate high precision in analysis and data crunching.
EXPERIENCEA minimum of 5 years airline experience is preferred ideally within an IT/numerate/analytical environment.
Reasonable knowledge in airline reservations, inventory management, pricing and information systems.
