Amana Healthcare, brought to you by M42 and Mumtalakat, is pleased to announce the first Amana Healthcare facility in Bahrain, located in Al Jasra will open in late 2025. This world-class hospital will provide long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services.
Amana Healthcare provides long-term care for adult patients with complex medical needs in an inpatient setting. Multidisciplinary care will be provided though intensive care unit (ICU) physicians, geriatricians, nurses, therapists, and a patient & family experience team who work collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for those patients. It also offers specialized rehabilitation for individuals who require inpatient rehabilitation following a life-altering event, such as stroke, brain injury, spine injury, joint replacement, or amputation.
Job Summary:
We’re hiring compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to support nursing and medical teams in delivering top-quality patient care. You’ll be hands-on with daily patient needs, a key player in maintaining safety and comfort, and a trusted support system for both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities: bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Measure and record vital signs (e.g. temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
- Support nurses in basic wound care, hygiene procedures, and medication rounds (non-administrative).
- Assist with patient positioning, turning, and transportation within the facility.
- Keep patient rooms and clinical areas clean, safe, and well-stocked.
- Maintain accurate patient care records and update relevant forms.
- Provide emotional support and build positive rapport with patients and their families.
- Report any concerns about a patient’s condition to the nurse-in-charge immediately.
- Help during emergencies by preparing equipment or assisting during CPR, if trained.
- Follow infection control protocols and health & safety guidelines to the letter.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory).
- Healthcare Assistant Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3 (preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting.
- Basic understanding of medical terms and patient care techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle lifting and mobility support tasks.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and respectful of privacy and dignity.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if needed.

- Promote Nestlé’s belief that Breastfeeding is Best for Babies and that Breastfeeding is recommendable over all other feeding alternatives for infants
- Provide reliable information on infant nutrition and infant feeding practices for medical/ paramedical contacts in areas that interest or affect them in their regular practice, according to current cycle detailing objectives and materials, becoming a reference advisor on these topics
- Participate in the organization and running of on Product Knowledge, Nutrition or related topics medical / paramedical scientific meetings including their sponsorship meeting, guest lecturer invitation.
- Identify and maintain relevant information on all contacts in assigned territory via master list, including classification on interest and importance, and by regular call cards completion
- Monitor and report to the Medical Field Manager on activities of our competitors including new competitor products, communication strategies, etc.
- Maintain proper records and registers of all correspondence and actions undertaken in daily activities
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance on all activities undertaken to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestle Instructions and local country codes.
- Comply with Nestlé’s strictest requirements that they will not seek contact with, or give advice to pregnant women, or mothers of infants and young children regarding Infant Formula in their business capacity
- Degree in Nutrition/Pharmacy/Public Health/ Biology
- Experience as a Medical Representative is plus
- Strong communication skills (English & Arabic)
