This involves working with various network elements, including routers, switches, base stations, and transmission systems.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular performance audits, generating detailed reports on network KPIs, and collaborating with engineering teams to implement network upgrades and expansions. You will also be involved in capacity planning, ensuring the network can support current and future demand. A strong understanding of mobile network technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), IP networking, and transmission systems is essential. You will utilize specialised tools for network monitoring, analysis, and optimisation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to data interpretation and issue resolution. You should be adept at working under pressure and capable of responding to network incidents effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom network performance analysis and optimisation. In-depth knowledge of mobile network architecture (RAN, Core) and protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, etc.). Proficiency with network monitoring and performance analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, MRTG). Experience with drive testing and performance benchmarking. Strong understanding of capacity planning and network design principles. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable. Fluency in English is required.
