Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to assess, treat, and manage acute and chronic wounds across various patient populations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in evidence-based wound care practices and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing outcomes. This role is critical in ensuring patient comfort, reducing infection risks, and promoting high-quality care in line with NHRA standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate wounds including pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, and traumatic injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans using evidence-based practices.
- Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and use of advanced wound care products (e.g., VAC therapy, hydrocolloids, antimicrobials).
- Monitor wound progression and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, hygiene, and prevention of complications.
- Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, dietitians, and infection control teams to support holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and ensure compliance with NHRA and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, and staff education related to wound care.
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage and use of wound care supplies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
