Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Isa Town, Southern, BH . This role is critical for the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated control systems across various industrial applications. You will be responsible for developing automation strategies, programming PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, and integrating them with plant-wide networks. Your expertise will be vital in troubleshooting complex control system issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring reliable operation of automated processes. This position requires a deep understanding of control theory, industrial automation technologies, and electrical schematics. You will collaborate closely with process engineers, mechanical engineers, and plant operations teams to identify needs, develop solutions, and implement upgrades. Responsibilities also include selecting appropriate hardware and software components, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. The Senior Control Systems Engineer will mentor junior engineers, review design documents, and contribute to the development of technical documentation and training materials. Experience with various PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI software is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial control systems engineering, is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and teamwork abilities, are paramount for success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions for industrial processes.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain complex control systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements.
  • Select and specify appropriate control hardware and software.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior control systems engineers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial control systems engineering.
  • Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA software.
  • Strong understanding of control theory, industrial automation, and instrumentation.
  • Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
