Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Warehouse and Inventory Control Specialist to join their dynamic team in Busaiteen, Muharraq, BH . This role is essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and improving the efficiency of warehouse operations. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management systems, conducting cycle counts, analyzing stock data, and collaborating with procurement and logistics teams to ensure a smooth flow of goods. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory control best practices. Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining inventory control procedures and policies.
- Overseeing the accuracy of inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data integrity.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
- Implementing strategies to improve inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
- Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and production teams to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Monitoring stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to prevent obsolescence and ensure product freshness where applicable.
- Developing and maintaining reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the warehouse and inventory management functions.
- Training and supervising warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and WMS usage.
- Ensuring the proper storage, handling, and organization of all inventory items.
- Assisting with the physical layout and organization of the warehouse to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Working with suppliers and logistics providers to resolve any inbound or outbound inventory-related issues.
- Staying current with best practices in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Proven expertise in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and FIFO/LIFO.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, balancing on-site oversight with remote analysis and planning.
- APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
