Role Summary
The Planning engineer has to prepare the work programs as per the guidelines provided by the Projects Team and monitor the progress of the project against the plan to ensure its completion within the specified time frame and within allocated budgets
Duties and responsibilities
- Support project management team to ensure project progress and generate report on all variations in conjunction with the Projects team, prepare a program of works which is acceptable to the client, and which indicates the sequence of operations, dependencies and resource requirements
- Prepare master project schedule and plans during tender and execution stage
- Monitor the material submittal, approval and procurement schedule against the project plan and update or revise
- Accurately record progress and adjust forecasts as required Prepare reports on progress and causes of program /progress variations
- Attend project review meeting with Consultant / Project Management representative, prepare and submit report to management as required Also prepare progress report for all the projects based on site visits and project progress review
- Coordinate information between other parties including Client, Suppliers and Contractors to determine and monitor the availability of materials and finished goods in line with program
- Preparation of information schedules inclusive of Architects, Engineers, nominations and long lead schedules
- Develop, monitor, and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 and a progress measurement system with reports on progress or deviations
- Plan, monitor, and control the resources and cost deployed for the project considering the budget, demand, productivity, historical trend, forecast requirements, & priorities
- Play an imperative role in tracking the physical progress and conducting weekly review meetings with relevant stakeholders ensuring compliance to the target dates
- Accountable for preparing consolidated project cash flows, Progress S-curves, look ahead schedule, project dashboards and reports, manpower projections, mitigation strategies, and forecast schedules
- Analyze, develop, and review the delay analysis (EOT) with time and cost impact
- Highlight the critical risks/ issues/ opportunities associated with the project

Personal qualities
We are looking for a versatile Planning Engineer in Bahrain who has the following experience, skills and personal attributes:
- 5 years of relevant experience in in an interior fit-out contracting company
- Attention to details & in-depth knowledge of construction process & methodology
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment
- Successful track record of working on all types of projects eg Hospitality, Hotels, High End Residential, Palaces , F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, Education etc
- Academic qualification (preferably University Degree) in a technical discipline
- Strong technical and commercial abilities
- A very good knowledge of latest developments in the fit-out market The candidate should be well-versed with the current trends and news influencing market and be able to suggest ideas to boost the Companys industry presence and build our brand
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational market environment

JOB PURPOSEThe Senior Engineer – Asset Planning is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Asset Management ISO 55001 standard.
