Key Responsibilities:

- Control process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to ensure product specifications are met.
- Perform routine inspections of plant equipment and systems.
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Respond to alarms and operational deviations, taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate logs and records of plant operations and production data.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
- Collect samples for quality control analysis as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the plant work area.
- Assist in process start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency procedures.
- Previous experience (2+ years) as a Chemical Plant Operator or in a similar industrial operations role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of chemical processing equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret process diagrams (P&IDs) and operating manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as climbing ladders and working in various environmental conditions.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and safety data sheets (SDS) is advantageous.
