Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to ensure a pleasant, comfortable, and ever-improving user experience with our products as it is a crucial aspect of our mission of making healthy easy.
Please note that this is a remote position.
Main Responsibilities
- Understanding and influencing the product and its strategy with teams to create user and business impact
- Influencing stakeholders, their approach, strategy, and processes
- Support with facilitating organization-wide discussions and workshops
- Dedicating a significant amount of time to connect with our customers, while observing preferences and validating their ideas
- Conducting generative discovery research with the product manager to thoroughly understand the user's needs and motivations before jumping to solutions straight away
- Ensure every design is validated with the users
- Working with the Product Manager to actively assign relevant experience KPIs for the problem we are trying to solve
- Owning the quality of designs in your product area and collaborating with the Product Manager and Engineering Manager
- Striping off assumptions, removing existing biases while problem-solving (dig deep till there is no answer to the why - the first principle thinking)
- Actively involve the squad and relevant stakeholders to explore concepts, narrow down to the best solution using design thinking methodologies such as ideation sessions, workshops, design studio, etc
- Creating simple, elegant solutions to complex interaction problems with high attention to detail
- Accounting for each stage of the user journey using user flow diagrams, sketches, wireframes etc
- Working closely with lead designers and product leaders to research, identify and address key business / customer goals
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in modern Product Design (User Interface and User Experience)
- Proficiency in English and preferably Arabic as well
- Ability to understand how to actively diverge and converge in the problem space repeatedly to design a well-thought-out product (double diamond framework)
- Practical knowledge of a range of research techniques
- Ability to solve at low fidelity and polish for delivery (thoroughly understanding the problem from the business and customer point of view first)
- Ability to measure the impact of solutions after release
- Anticipating feedback and addressing it proactively
- Expand our design systems to improve it instead of deviating from it
- Continually raise the bar in design with beautiful, pixel-perfect, and modern UI
- Keeping up with the latest trends and best practices of UI design
- Well-versed with app and web-based consumer behavior
