We're looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager who combines deep technical understanding with strategic marketing expertise to develop go-to-market plans for our global security and compliance portfolio.

We are seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager with deep technical understanding and strategic marketing skills to develop go-to-market plans for our security and compliance portfolio. This hands-on, multidisciplinary role involves working closely with product managers, engineering, and security experts to understand technical capabilities and translate them into compelling messaging. You will collaborate with content, sales, and marketing teams to drive awareness, adoption, and growth.

The ideal candidate is a technologist who enjoys understanding how products work and communicating their value to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are motivated by ownership, curiosity, and operate at the intersection of product and marketing. You enjoy hands-on problem solving, experimentation, and building scalable marketing systems.

This role reports to the Product Marketing Lead within the product marketing team.

Location: Remote in the EMEA region.

What your day will look like
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for Canonical's security and compliance products, including messaging and positioning.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and emerging trends to define product differentiation and value drivers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand roadmaps and customer use cases.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear messaging for personas like Executives, DevSecOps, and platform teams.
  • Own campaign and content planning for the security portfolio.
  • Use data and insights to refine demand generation strategies and optimize conversion.
  • Coordinate with teams to plan events, webinars, and support messaging for paid and social media promotion.

The Senior Product Development Engineer will be responsible for advanced design, prototyping, testing, and ensuring the manufacturability and reliability of new products.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the design, development, and improvement of complex mechanical and electromechanical products and systems.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics using simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
  • Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo) for 3D modeling, assembly design, and detailed drafting.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, execute prototype testing, and analyze results to validate designs and ensure performance specifications are met.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including industrial design, electrical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance.
