Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring that all manufacturing processes adhere to established schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of production operators, fostering a positive and engaged work environment.
- Monitor production output, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products at various stages of production to ensure they meet specifications and minimize defects.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and equipment malfunctions, coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
- Manage raw material inventory, ensuring adequate supply for production needs and minimizing waste.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, detailing output, downtime, scrap rates, and other key metrics.
- Promote a strong safety culture by conducting regular safety briefings, ensuring compliance with PPE, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.
- Coordinate with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and identify training needs.
- Ensure all production documentation is accurately completed and maintained.
- Participate in budget planning and cost control efforts within the production department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control systems.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
- First Aid and basic fire safety certification preferred.
