  • Manage and foster strong, long-term relationships with a diverse supplier base.
  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services, ensuring supply chain continuity.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks, proactively mitigating potential disruptions.
  • Implement and champion best practices in procurement, including e-procurement tools and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Finance) to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering professional development.
  • Analyze spend data and develop category management strategies.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage corrective action plans.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in purchasing and strategic sourcing, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating significant contracts and achieving substantial cost savings.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, and contract law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics and risks.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to responsible sourcing practices.
