Since its founding in 1999, our client has become a leader in the F&B industry and the industrial and professional service divisions in Bahrain and other countries in the GCC and Asia. They are currently looking to hire a **Food Specialist** to be based in Bahrain.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Creates and maintains ingredient specification data in compliance with standards throughout ingredient specification lifecycle (including nutrition composition).
- Establish routing and workflow for ingredient specification approval.
- Coordinates, manages and controls ingredient specifications data with QRC, R&D, Procurement and Suppliers.
- Generates reports for ingredient specification creation and changes.
- Responsible for specific subset of ingredient categories (i.e., 60 categories to be divided among Ingredient Specialists).
- Initiates Material Master request for Ingredients and Complex Ingredients.
- Facilitates Shelf Life Data Management for Ingredients.

**Qualification & Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Labeling, or related field of study.
- Experience in the food industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety and handling guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: BD400.000 - BD600.000 per month

Our client, a leading innovator in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Development Scientist specializing in Food Technology to join their state-of-the-art research and development facility in Shakhura, Northern, BH . This is a critical on-site role focused on conceptualizing, developing, and launching new food products that meet evolving consumer demands and align with the company's strategic growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in product development within the food industry. You will leverage your expertise in food chemistry, processing technologies, sensory science, and ingredient functionality to create innovative and commercially viable products. Responsibilities include conducting benchtop product development, scaling up formulations from pilot to commercial production, conducting sensory evaluations, and ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, ingredient interactions, and packaging technologies is essential. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, quality assurance, and operations, to bring new products from concept to market. Excellent project management skills, a keen understanding of consumer trends, and the ability to perform rigorous scientific analysis are paramount. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ideation, development, and commercialization of new food products.
  • Conduct extensive benchtop product formulation and experimentation.
  • Scale-up product formulations from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial production.
  • Investigate and optimize food processing techniques and parameters.
  • Evaluate and select ingredients based on functionality, cost, and nutritional profile.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze consumer feedback.
  • Ensure product safety, quality, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, quality assurance, and operations teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including product specifications and process descriptions.
  • Stay current with food science advancements and market trends.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
