MAIN OBJECTIVES

- This role is a key part of the Pricing & Revenue Management and Commercial team, responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability for Gulf Air.

- Manage all pricing and revenue management KPIs, as well as revenue and budgeting reports for top management. Ensure data quality and effective visualization and analysis to support timely, sound decision-making.

- Lead internal and cross-functional teams to identify revenue opportunities and risks, perform complex analyses, and recommend actions to optimize revenue performance.

MAIN DUTIES
  1. Lead teams to identify revenue risks and growth opportunities across the network, ensuring accountability for decision-making and action plans.
  2. Develop and utilize advanced analytical tools to track performance metrics such as revenue spill, spoilage, and RASK, providing regular updates.
  3. Understand risk models to determine key revenue and profitability indicators, creating contingency plans to mitigate revenue degradation.
  4. Create and maintain management reports providing insights into PRM and RASK performance; facilitate business process sessions to improve reporting and data utilization.
  5. Analyze the impact of pricing and demand actions on revenue and market trends; monitor competitor fare data and incorporate findings into business processes.
  6. Generate detailed reports at all network levels to support PRM strategies, including monitoring tools for strategy execution and adjustments.
  7. Manage projects involving revenue scenario modeling in collaboration with finance and other teams.
  8. Conduct comprehensive analyses of past performance to identify drivers of revenue and inform future strategies.
  9. Lead business process and ideation sessions based on trend analyses to enhance revenue management practices.
  10. Leverage advanced modeling, AI, and machine learning techniques to develop tools supporting pricing systems and capacity planning.
  11. Prepare dynamic visualizations and presentations for management, including waterfall charts and other insights.
  12. Establish frameworks for continuous improvement of revenue management processes and systems.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING

University degree in Economics, Math, Finance, or related field; Masters preferred. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerBI, SQL, PowerPoint. Good command of English.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years in analytical roles such as strategic planning, financial analysis, or consulting. Experience in the airline industry and familiarity with Pricing and Revenue Management is preferred. Skilled in deriving insights from complex data and communicating findings effectively.

  6. Coordinate across different teams such as GFG Technology & Digital Services and Revenue Optimizer, Fares & Contract Manager users at HDQ and in the outstations to ensure necessary support for Decision Making impacting Gulf Air’s Revenue and passenger growth.
  7. Take ownership of testing and implementation of critical business requirements.
  8. Lead the technical support and configuration for GF outstations with respect to Reservations, Contract Manager and Groups Management Systems.
  9. Manage and Lead Revenue Management Systems projects related to Revenue Optimizer, Revenue Integrity, Dynamic Availability, Sabre Sonic Inventory, Contract Manager, Fares Manager, Merchandizing Manager, etc.
  10. Own the Configuration and Maintenance of critical Business Rules, System Strategies and other system configurations in Revenue Optimizer, Revenue Integrity, Dynamic Availability and SabreSonic Inventory Systems to enhance/protect Inventory Availability and quality revenue.
  11. Take ownership of tracking and reporting critical KPIs such as Daily, Weekly, Monthly and other adhoc reporting for Pricing & Revenue Management and the wider Commercial Teams including other stakeholders in the Gulf Air Group and its subsidiaries.
  12. Influence Network Revenue Management strategy through interaction with key personnel in Pricing, Tariffs, Interline/Offline and Revenue Management teams.
  13. Take over Manager Revenue Management Systems responsibilities in his/her absence and other tasks related to Revenue Management Systems domain as required.
EDUCATION & TRAINING

High standard of education, preferably to degree level in IT, Business or Numerate discipline.

Excellent written/spoken English language, equivalent to HND.

High level of proficiency using Analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Being a highly analytical/technical role, Job holder is required to demonstrate high precision in analysis and data crunching.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 5 years airline experience is preferred ideally within an IT/numerate/analytical environment.

Reasonable knowledge in airline reservations, inventory management, pricing and information systems.

Responsible for building and maintaining contractual agreements within the cargo system to help GF Sales compete effectively in the marketplace and to detect early signs if sales trends in any market are falling short of targets.

MAIN DUTIES
  1. Monitor and review GF’s market prices versus competitors on all routes; recommend pricing policies; evaluate and approve pricing and capacity proposals submitted by Regional Route Managers to ensure optimal capacity utilization without losing market share.

  15. Establish cargo pricing and capacity policies to maximize revenue per cubic meter, balancing short and long-term interests.
  16. Strengthen relationships with partners through competitive interline and trucking strategies.
  17. Participate in IATA Tariff Conferences to protect GF’s interests.
